The Bermuda triangle is a mystious part of

Burmuda and Puerto Rico. Space it is a

beautiful part of the world and is

More interesting , however , is that the Burmuda triangle for the mysterious and

unexplained Disappearances of over 200 ships and

given the area a reputation as the grave yard of the

The Triangle strange reputation goes back as far as Christopher Columbus who sailed in the area in 1492. He was said to have noticed his compass behaving strangely

Many people do not believe that there is

not any thing mysterious about the Burmuda Triangle. They say that all the disappearances can explained by natural

events such as extremely bad weather , mechanical problems Or human errors like

navigation faults or fuel.

Others have a more imaginative point of

view and give different reasons for the

disappearances.These people talk about

things like UFOs and aliens , ships being

swallowed up by hungry sea serpents

and vortexes of wirling sea. Some even

suggest attaced by pirates. This last

explanation might at least be true.

Many of the ships lost in the triangle have been private sailing

boats or small pleasure craft , so it is possible that modern

pirates may have launched attacks upon

them.

Another famous disappearance was of the USS cyclops which vanished in 1918 with a crew of 309 men. No survivours were ever found . It is important, however, to remember
