Bernalillo County Deputies Arrest Serial Burglar in Albuquerque South Valley

Albuquerque, NM- On June 3, 2020 Bernalillo County Sheriff ’s Office Field Services Deputies responded to an address on Bowers Rd. SW. Neighbors witnessed an individual in the area, who was believed to be involved in a residential burglary the prior day. The burglary resulted in a stolen firearm. Deputies were able to locate and detain the subject with the assistance of the Metro Air Unit and K9 Deputies. The suspect, Rolando Sifuentes, tried to evade capture but eventually w a s taken into custody without incident. Deputies were able to locate and recover the firearm in question w h i c h the subject attempted to hide. Community Action Team (CAT) Detectives were called to assist with the investigation and through the investigative process, Rolando confessed to the burglary. He was arrested for aggravated burglary, as well as tampering with evidence. Sifuentes has been arrested at least 5 times within the past year on several related charges to include illegal drug possession, burglary, larceny and conspiracy.
