VIDEO-Canon ZR-960 ($650)Backup: IPad(One camera setup)
AUDIO-Audio Technica BPHS1 ($200 ea.)-Other: Input radio feed via input jack (basketball, football)-Mixer when we have 2 broadcasters ($65)Other #2: Ipad natural sound
INTERNET CONNECTED-Macbook Pro or PC ($1000) Other: Ipad
STREAMING SERVICE:Ustream: free (upgradeable options/services)
TALENT AND CREW:Depends on staffing and event. For an Ipad-cast, you just need one person to monitor the feed. For a basketball game, we usually have a camera person, 2 broadcasters (or input radio feed), and a producer to montor the webcast.
SCOREBOARD-Presto live stats ($250 per sport, each year)-Ustream has overlay that allows scoreboard input. Works well with football, soccer, lacrosse but not for volley-ball and basketball.
COST TO END USER: Free
NOTES: Presto currently only offers import of Us-tream video...Live stats and Presto do not always match due to delay....Single/still camera works best at baseball/softball with a wide- angle lens....Using the Ipad at softball/baseball is a low-end option but is dependent on decent wireless or IPad cellular data ($$$) service.
