DETAIL A: apply a horizontal strip of building membrane (min 250mm Wide) immediately before the sill and extend past each side of theopening a distance necessary to project beyond the vertical membrane to be applied. membrane to lap over window and extend 150mmon inside of wall furring
DETAIL B: apply a vertical strip of membrane at each side of opening and extend past the top and bottom of the opening a distanceequal to the width of the horizontal membrane. lap these strips over the first horizontal strip at the bottom. membrane to lap over thewindow jamb and extend to the inside face of the wall framing.
DETAIL C: install the window into the opening over the three strips of membrane by setting the nailing fin into a continuous bead of sealantwhich extends from the bottom left corner, up and across the head, and then down to the bottom right corner. DO NOT SEAT BOTTOMFLANGE. the sealant should be applied through the centerline of the nailing holes. apply a bottom horizontal strip of membrane over thebottom flange. apply both vertical strips of membrane over the side flanges. apply a top horizontal strip of membrane over the top flange.seal membrane to the full width of the nailing fins with a continuous bead of sealant. extend the horizontal strip of membrane slightly pastthe outer edges of the vertical strips of membrane.
DETAIL D: install the specified building paper horizontally, beginning at the bottom of the wall and proceeding upwards, lapping thecourses as specified. apply the building paper over the top, bottom and side strips of the membrane. ends of building paper lappingnailing fin shall be set in a continuous bead of sealant (stucco finish).
