Hair loss is a common problem nowadays and we really have to see the reason behind your loss.  Hair reflects the complete personality of a person. Taking proper care of our hair is very important. TYPES OF HAIR LOSSPostpartum Alopecia and Telogen effluvium :- Postpartum alopecia is caused by the hormonal changes during the course of pregnancy. The changes cause an imbalance in the growth pattern of hair follicle. The hair loss gets stable three to nine months after the birth of the child.

Alopecia Areata: - Alopecia Areata begins as a small spot of hair loss and suddenly spreads without re growth in the previously affected area. The hair loss from alopecia areata is typically seen in patches on the head. And if there is complete hair loss it can be referred to Alopecia totalis.

Alopecia Areata can occur in men and women of any race and any age although it usually begins in the childhood.

Androgenic alopecia: - This kind of Alopecia is mainly due to the result of aging, hormonal changes in the hair follicle and sometimes it can be genetic or heredity. By the time one crosses the age of 35, almost forty percent of the hair in both men and women show some degree of hair with the men. It mostly occurs in the front and crown of the head. When it occurs in male it is known as male pattern baldness and in females it’s known as female pattern baldness.

Basic Tips to Follow to control Hair loss

One should apply shampoo which has a UV protection and it should be mild and ph balanced. Nowadays conditioners are also available with uv protection. Avoid the sun as it’s very harsh and can make your hair lifeless and brittle so protection is must.Take lots of fresh fruits, green vegetables, antioxidant rich diet. Protein intake should be more. If you are vegetarian than take 1litre milk in any form. If you are non vegetarian than one can eat eggs, fish or chickens.

Some of the basic tips are….Shampoo should be ph balanced and mild. Keep the shampoo on your scalp for 5 to 7 minutes and then wash it. One can also use light conditioner over the hair shaft. Make sure that you don’t use too greasy shampoos, oil or heavy serums over the hair
