A Bit More than the Average Bar-B-Que Place!

Thank you for your votes in the 19th annual Caller-Times Best of the Best readers’ poll. Another year has passed and the votes have been counted. After weeks of sorting, counting and verify-ing thousands of ballots in 156 categories, here are the results.

Readers had two ways to vote for their favorite businesses and services this year. Ballots were available at the Caller-Times’ Best of the Best Showcase in September at the American Bank Center and through ballots placed in three issues of the Caller-Times in late August and September.

The top vote recipient in each category has been selected as the Caller-Times’ “Best of the Best #1” and the next highest vote-getters have been named “Readers’ Choice” and are listed in alphabetical order.

We have added some new categories and eliminated some that did not get enough voter attention.

By popular demand, and a worthy category, we have added Community Advocate: business/organization and Community Advocate: Indi-vidual. These two categories honor those businesses and individuals that work hard by go-ing above and beyond in helping make our communities a better place to live.

Remember, the Best of the Best winners are selected by our readers, not by the staff of the Caller-Times.

We continue to take the necessary steps to disqualify bal-lot stuffing by businesses that try to win a particular category unfairly. It is important to remember that this is a reader fun contest. It does not have any bearing on the success of a business, nor does it have any endorsement by the Caller-Times. These are businesses readers have chosen, and the results are final. This is a readers’ poll for entertainment value and nothing else.

This section contains all the names of winners in each catego-ry. We encourage you to support ALL businesses in the Corpus Christi area, not just the winners in this section.
