Anti-Twist bar with rollers is included with every I-Beam Trolley Top

To attach the anti twist roller accessory. Remove the hoist from the I beam. Remove two top bolts, the center bolt and the one closest to the front of the drum. Using included longer bolts, attach roller top as shown in attached photos. Re mount the hoist to the I beam. Adjust the height of the rollers so that they contact the bottom side of the I beam and tighten the mounting bolts.

specialty hoist, the Leo XXL VFDSeries, features an integrated Variable Frequency Drive Controller (VFD) which provides a smooth controlled acceleration and

deceleration that is instrumental for precision placement of larger more delicate materials such as glass, unitized curtain wall, cladding, solar panels, marble, granite,

large stones, architectural panels and exterior finish system (EFS). It has all the capabilities of the Leo XXL hoist but has a variable speed controller and two wireless handheld remotes enabling you to pick and place all in one run. The Leo XXL VFD hoist system also enables you to have multiple rigging options that is less expensive

than traditional methods and its more productive by installing more panels in less time. All Leo hoists are equipped with a push button pendant and upper limit switch

assembly, enabling secure and easy up and down movement that instantly stops when the upper limit switch is activated. The heavy-duty Leo XXL can accommodate a

maximum payload of 2000 pounds and can travel up to 400 feet. The hoist features fail-safe conical brakes to hold the load securely when the hoist is not actively

transporting material.

Beta Maxs lifting solution is a Portable Electric High Speed Wire Rope hoist that is a cost effective alternative to traditional glazing methods.

It is commonly used for installations of glass, unitized curtain wall, cladding, solar panels, architectural panel and exterior finish system (EFS) installation projects.

This state of the art hoist is equipped with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controller that offers multiple lift speed settings to 80 FPM for extreme control. This VFD system provides a smooth acceleration and deceleration feature that is key for precision placement of large, delicate or awkward materials. With a variety of different mounting options you become more productive by placing more panels with a pick and place solution.

The hoist runs on in to 220v Single Phase power. So jobsite power is not an obstacle.

Leo Variable Speed Hoist

The Beta Max Leo XXLHoist is our largest capacity portable hoist designed for heavy duty long lifts. Two programmed speed sets are standard but, additional speed setting are available. The standard slow speed is 8 ft. per minute, for toggling materials into place and precision placement. The second set will smoothly graduate up to 80ft. per minute, for quicker movement between floors.

The hoist is available with an extra long drum that allows for 400ft. of operational lifting height.

When the hoist is used on a single line it has a 1000lb. capacity. The double rope kit that when installed, increases the hoists lifting capacity to 2000lbs. Two hand held wireless controllers compliment this powerful tool by creating wireless freedom from long cumbersome pendant cords. This allows the worker waiting to receive/ place the panel to have control of the hoist and the payload.

Leo VFD Variable Speed Hoist Setup Instructions

In order for wireless handheld to operate (this turns the hoist on): (The wireless remote must be ON with a green light and wired pendant Stop

button must be in release mode for the unit to turn on.) 1. Wireless remote must be ON with a green light (Press the ON/START

button) 2. Red button on wired remote must be in the release mode on wired

remote. (Twist red knob and it will pop up Release Mode) 3. Press start button on the wireless handheld to turn the unit on. The

red light in the wireless receiver in the control box will turn on. 4. Now you can push the UP/DOWN to operate hoist.

In order for fixed handheld pendant to operate (this turns the hoist on):

1. Red button must be in release mode 2. Press start button to engage fixed handheld pendant 3. Now you can push the UP/DOWN to operate hoist

Using both wireless remotes

One wireless remote must be turned OFF before the second wireless remote can take control of the unit (The fixed handheld pendant must still be connected to the unit to operate)

NOTE: The Leo VFD hoist system is designed to be controlled by the wired fixed

handheld pendant and one wireless handheld remote. This is designed for safety reasons. The operator of either remote must push the start button to engage that remote and take control of the hoist. The second wireless handheld remote is an extra backup remote in the case that something happens to the other wireless remote. You must have a wireless hand held remote to turn on the wireless system and operate the hoist.

MAXIAL TRACK HOIST OPERATION CHECKLIST

The Maxial was originally designed in 1990 to provide a safe, alternate lifting method for contractors working from frame or systems scaffolding. The Maxial has also become known as the scaffold erection tool being used to install and dismantle scaffolding on commercial and industrial scaffolding projects.

DAILY CHECKLIST:

9 Confirm power source has not changed and power cord extensions are properly plugged into Power Source and into Maxial Hoist.

9 Check that the Control Box is properly connected to the Motor. 9 Check that the Pendant is properly connected to the Control Box. 9 Confirm the Top and Bottom Rung Locks are locked in place securing

Motor to Track Section. 9 Confirm the Sliding Top Section is locked in place securing it to the Track

Section.9 Run the system up to the top and back down visually inspecting wire rope

for any kinks, birdcages or breakage. Wire Rope should be replaced if damage is found. If spooling properly, wire rope will evenly reeve onto drum.

WEEKLY CHECKLIST:

9 Check to make sure all Kwik Bolts are tightened securing Track Sections to one another.

9 Check to make sure all Scaffold Clamps are tightened securing Track Sections to scaffolding.

9 Make sure the pulley located at the top of the system in the Sliding Top Section moves freely.

9 Check to make sure the pins securing the material carrier to the Universal Carriage are inserted completely.

9 Look at all rollers on Universal Carriage to notice any uneven wear which may indicate Universal Carriage is not tracking properly on the Maxial Track.

9 Check Brake Paw and Brake Spring on the Emergency Brake located on Universal Carriage. The Emergency Brake will stop the carriage from free-falling in the event of wire rope breakage or motor disconnect.

Beta-Max Maxial Track Hoist System

I have worked in the scaffolding industry since 1988. In the early 1990s I was introduced to a machine that changed the entire playing field of that industry. This is my testimonial The Beta Max Maxial Track Hoist was demonstrated to me, a branch manager, and the owner of a small scaffolding company. I had heard of this machine through acquaintances in the industry, but had never witnessed the use of one. I was very impressed. It built very quickly and attached directly to the system scaffold that we used for the demo. The 3 of us were immediately sold, and purchased that demo model with 100 of track. My relationship with Beta-Max started on that day. Our company quickly learned that this machine could replace the old daisy chain (man-line) of equipment from the ground to the erection point in the air. The company made great advances in profitability, and our work load utilizing this machine. Increases in our labor revenues and our job completion time(s), made for profit margins unheard of before. Not to mention being able to generate more work for our employees. Soon we needed more track and another unit. After leaving that company, I encountered many other companies utilizing this machine. Many had multiple units and countless track sections. We would use 2, 4, or 6 machines in a boiler. The ground crew would generally consist of 5 laborers and a supervisor. The hoist crew would generally consist of 2 laborers, and 2 hoist operators. This would feed the crew above constructing the scaffold, generally 4 to 12 men including a supervisor. Crews were established according to the actual size of the scaffold to be built. Some of the boilers we constructed were well over 200 feet high, and bridges over 400 tall. The Maxial Track hoist builds right with the scaffolding, as you go up one section at a time. Now, there are other hoist systems. I have seen many different hoists and pulleys used to eliminate the man line (or daisy chain), but none meet the safety aspect or simplicity of the Maxial Track system. You dont have to fuel it or have wide open area like a forklift; it uses either 120V or 240V electricity that is readily accessible on most jobsites; and it will not wear out, like a man pulling a rope and bucket. The hoist builds right with the scaffolding as you go. Just add more tracks, extend the cable, and your back to work. I have personally used these systems on bridge work, commercial construction, industrial construction with frame scaffold, system scaffold, or tube and clamp type scaffold. You can use any math formula you wish, but dollar for dollar you will not hire anyone who can perform this amount of work; without the breaks, the fatigue, or the wear and tear as the Maxial Track hoist. Using 2 machines doubles your production instantly, and provides for back-up in the unlikely event of machine failure or break down. The Maxial Track hoist packs easily into a small covered trailer, and travels with your crew or equipment. The units are low maintenance, easy to care for, and very simple to operate using a pendant control. There is simply no other way to go.
