He served as Executive Vice-president of ImaginAsian Entertainment Inc, a US-based entertainment company.

He was also CEO (USA) and Head of International Marketing Operations at RTV UK

He hosted the wildly popular ‘Anil Ki Awaaz’ , the largest syndicated South Asian radio show in the US. The program aired in New York, Washington DC, California, Chicago etc.

After achieving tremendous success in the US, he returned to India to help launch MEOW, as well as host one of the programs

He joined 104.8 FM, known as ‘MEOW’ at the time, in late 2006

He joined in the capacity of COO (Chief Operations Officer), and helped kick-start the company

He also joined as an RJ to host the program ‘Between the Sheets’

Aired on MEOW 104.8 FM on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The show lasted for two years, from 2007-2009, after which the channel changed to Oye! 104.8 FM, and was redesigned

It has been both hugely complimented, as well as criticized

It had a revolutionary concept, and dealt with topics relating to love and sex, topics which were hitherto been shied away from, especially on radio

It held maximum appeal for teenagers

However, certain sections of society, particularly the orthodox and the older generations, considered it vulgar and unpalatable

Regardless of the opinion however, the show became extremely famous

India’s First Just-For-women Radio Station

Launched in 2007 and renamed OYE! 104.8 FM in 2009

Created by the India Today Group as their radio venture, with Anil Srivatsa as Chief Operating Officer

The radio channel focused only on women audiences, though there are an equal number of males who tuned to the radio station.

It provided women with a platform to interact and open up.

It engaged the listeners by discussing interesting topics.

It was more a place where the women came to share their opinions on vital issues rather than only listening to music.

However, despite it’s initial success, the radio channel could not keep up a long term listener base, and after a couple of years redesigned itself as OYE! 104.8 FM in 2009

It was at the same time that Anil Srivatsa resigned as COO of the channel, while his show ‘Between the Sheets’ was cancelled

It is an existing channel, and is the current TV Today radio venture under its FM radio arm Radio Today

It lost its engagement women-oriented format

OYE! 104.8 FM aims itself at all audiences and focuses on the Bollywood quotient. 

It offers listeners a mix of Bollywood, RJ talk and humour.

As part of the rebranding several new shows such as Nikal Padi, Time Machine, Love Stories were launched.

The controversial show ‘Between the Sheets’ was replaced by a show called OYE! Love Stories, a romance show based around celebrity love stories .

Besides the new shows, the radio station broadcasts moments of Seedhi Baat, an interview-based show hosted by Prabhu Chawla on Aaj Tak, part of TV Today Network.
