SIGNIFICANT EVENTSAt approximately 4:30 AM, officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Parkway andRodeo Dr. The vehicle was stopped and after a short investigation it was discovered that thesuspects burglarized a business on Rodeo Dr. Both occupants were arrested for commercialburglary.

01/01/2017

At approximately 1AM, officers conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. Subsequentinvestigation revealed burglary tools and other related items in the vehicle. Two suspects weretaken into custody for Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of Burglary Tools.

01/03/2017

At approximately 9PM, officers responded to a call of a prowler in the 900 block of North BedfordDr. A suspect was located and after an investigation, he was taken into custody without incident.

01/10/2017

At approximately 9:30AM, officers responded to a suspicious person in the 300 block of ReevesDr. Upon arriving the subject ran but officers were able to locate him and eventually arrestedhim without incident.

01/11/2017

At approximately 4AM officers responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in the 1000 block ofHillcrest Dr. Officers located two suspects, discovered numerous key fobs for luxury cars andsubsequently arrested them for vehicle tampering.

01/14/2017

At approximately midnight, officers received a call of a male loitering in an alley, enteringcarports and peering into vehicles. The suspect was located and eventually arrested for identitytheft and misappropriation of lost property.

01/15/2017

At approximately 10AM, officers responded to a suspicious person in the 300 block of Reeves Dr.The suspect was located and eventually arrested for stolen mail, burglary, drug paraphernaliaand had a parole hold for burglary.

01/17/2017

At approximately 8:30AM, officers received an ALPR notification of a stolen vehicle. The vehiclewas located, stopped and officers conducted an investigation. Both occupants were arrested forvehicle burglary.

01/19/2017

At approximately 1AM, a patrol supervisor observed two individuals with backpacks loitering inthe Palm/Oakhurst alley. The investigation led to the arrest of one subject for theft andpossession of stolen property.

01/21/2017

At approximately 5PM, officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 600 block of OakhurstDr. Officers located the suspect a short distance away, positively identified the suspect andarrested her for robbery and burglary.

01/30/2017

DETECTIVE BUREAU01/19/2017 Two (2) individuals were arrested and detained for driving a reported stolen vehicle. The results

of the investigation revealed that in addition to being suspected car thieves, the individuals werealso in possession of approximately seventy (70) articles of stolen property. Once the case waspresented to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, twelve (12) felony charges weresuccessfully filed.

01/23/2017 Thayer Kristofferson was arrested and charged with Arson. Kristofferson is suspected of causingfire damage to two United States Postal Service mailboxes. A felony complaint was filed with theLos Angeles District Attorney's Office. The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office chargedKristofferson with two (2) counts of arson and one (1) count of attempted arson.

01/27/2017 A residential burglary occurred within Beverly Hills in January 2016. Through investigative effortsa subject was identified as a participant in the crime. As a result of the identification an arrestwarrant was requested and obtained from the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office for the arrestof the suspected individual. On the referenced date, Dion Garner, was arrested and charged withresidential burglary. Garner's court appearance date is pending.

01/30/2017 A victim returned home to be confronted by a female intruder. The suspect assaulted thehomeowner then fled the residence. The suspect, India Ford, was apprehended a short timelater. Detective personnel presented the case to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office forfiling. Ultimately, two (2) counts of burglary; one (1) count of robbery; one (1) count of felonyassault; one (1) count of attempted burglary; and one (1) count of battery on an officer werefiled.

01/31/2017 Multiple suspects entered a clothing store within the business district, grabbed numerous articlesof clothing, then fled the location to an awaiting car. The suspects were apprehended a shorttime later by police personnel. Once the arrest charges were presented to the Los AngelesDistrict Attorney's Office for filing consideration, two (2) counts of grand theft and one (1) countof burglary were filed on the suspects.

TRAFFIC BUREAU01/03/2017 Traffic Bureau supervisors met with the Golden Globe production staff and outside agencies for

final preparations prior to the event.

01/04/2017 Traffic Bureau Supervisors met with Metro Purple Line representatives regarding the constructiontimeline, construction related activities, and construction traffic plans on Wilshire Blvd betweenSan Vicente and La Cienega Blvd.

01/08/2017 The 73rd Golden Globe Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. No major incidents,related to the awards, were reported.

01/12/2017 Traffic Bureau Supervisors attended the first planning meeting for the 2017 Vanity Fair OscarParty that will take place on February 26th. This event will require the extended closure of the400 block of North Crescent Drive.

01/19/2017 Traffic Bureau Supervisors met with LA Marathon officials regarding the 2017 LA Marathon thatwill take place on Sunday March 19th.

01/23/2017 Traffic Bureau Supervisors facilitated an After Action debrief with the event stakeholders.

01/26/2017 Traffic Bureau Supervisor and motor officer attended DUI Check Point training.

01/29/2017 Traffic Bureau Supervisors met with project representatives from the Santa Monica BlvdReconstruction Project, several times during the month, to determine TCO/Officer deploymentrelated to the project.

PERSONNEL & TRAINING BUREAU02/09/2017 During the month of January, staff processed ninty-four (94) entry-level and seven (7) lateral

police applicants for the police officer position and eleven (11) applicants for the police cadetposition. In addition, one (1) lateral police officer was hired during the month of January.
