BEYOND KM THE ROAD TO
KNOWLEDGE- DRIVEN E XCELLENCEAPQC’S 17TH ANNUAL
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE AND TRAINING
HOUSTONIAN HOTEL, CLUB & SPA
HOUSTON, TEXAS
APRIL 23–27, 2012
APQC’s 2012 Knowledge Management Conference and Training is
just around the corner and, like in years past, you can count on it
being the most intellectually stimulating event you’ll attend all year.
For 17 years, we’ve hosted hundreds of forward-thinking business leaders and KM
practitioners for a conference experience unlike any other. We offer an exhibit-free
environment that is warm, welcoming, and conducive to learning, making it easy
for our attendees to connect, network, and build lasting relationships.
In keeping with this year’s theme, we want to challenge our attendees to think
beyond traditional views of KM and focus more broadly on knowledge-driven
excellence. The practitioners we’ve invited to speak have built sustainable
KM programs by striking the right balance of strategy, people, process, and
technology. Their sessions will not only introduce innovative KM approaches,
but also explore how those approaches affect business-critical issues like
time-to-competency, customer intimacy, new product development, safety,
quality, and profi tability. We want our conference attendees to go back to their
organizations with solid, practical ideas about how they can apply KM to improve
business outcomes.
THE YEAR OF THE KM APP
Picture KM as a mobile application. What would you want it to do? During this
year’s conference, APQC will lead a working session aimed at expanding your
thinking about what is possible. You will hear about apps that companies are
using to put KM in the fl ow of work and provide access to expertise at critical
moments. The session will culminate with an exercise allowing you to try your
hand at designing your own KM app.
