2013 RSM ASIA PACIFIC REGIONAL CONFERENCE

Over 160 RSM Leaders from across the region and other markets came together to discuss clients services and growth development of RSM network, including our Managers and Partners led by our Senior Managing Partner Ms. Marycris S. Oplas, last May 8 - 10, 2013 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Annual regional conference RSM member firms discussed how the companies can stay responsive, stay dynamic and stay ahead in an increasingly progressive global market. Plenary sessions included presentations on alternative service lines to increase competitiveness in the market, this includes industry specialization, global compliance and statutory audit as a package service line, and extended training and review on transfer pricing as a regional capability.

DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS IMAGE

Ms. Devie Marie Malabanan, conducted a semminar last June 27, 2013, Alas Oplas Board Room.

Reminders and insights that each and every one should be aware of during Professional Time has been highlighted in this event. Non Verbal Behavior, Voice Tone, Social Manners, Art of Small Talks, Body Language, Courtesies, Dining Etiquettes & Professional Appearance are some of the factors that creates an impression.

SEMINAR ON BIR BENCHMARKING AND UPDATES FOR PEZA

Mr. Garry S. Pagaspas, Alas Oplas Partner of Tax Advisory conducted one day seminar for the employees of the member companies of First Cavite Estates (FCIE) last March 15, 2013 at Dasmarinas, Cavite for Benchmarking & Tax Updates for PEZA. This event promotes awareness and comprehensive understanding on the Memorandum Order & Regulations issued by Bureau of Internal Revenue, once again he had partaken his expertise on Tax matters.

Mr. Garry Pagaspas received plaque of appreciation from FCIE.

TAX AND STRATEGIC ADVANTAGES OF CORPORATION

Our Chairman and CEO, Mr. Donnies T. Alas have a talk last June 7, 2013 entitled, "Why Go Corporate, Tax and Strategic Advantages of Corporations" at Filipino Chinese Chamber Building, Bacolod.

With participants from Chinese Junior Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Alas discussed Forms of Business Set-Up, Government Unit, Agencies and Bureaus, Instrumentalities for Compliance with the Advantage and Key Strategic Points of Corporate Set-Ups that comprises a legitimate company here in the Philippines.
