Grace Celebrates 125 Years This Year! The recognized start date of Grace United Methodist Church was April 20, 1890, when our congre-ga on began mee ng in Sco ’s Hall on what is currently the North Central College campus. To remind us of our past, Grace Historian Harold Workman has put together interes ng dbits of our history for each week. The Grace Church Founda on is again offering a $1,000 scholarship for the 2015-16 school year at North Central College. This scholarship could be matched by the Unit-ed Methodist Higher Educa on Founda on as part of its Dollars for Scholars program as well as by North Central College, for a total scholarship of $3,000. About 40 church leaders (Staff-Parish, Church and NOW Councils, and staff) met with our con-sultant and District Superintendent Rev. Dick Wisdom to hear the results. The next steps are for Rev.
