About Bharti Retail

Bharti Retail Pvt. Ltd. is a 100% subsidiary of Bharti Enterprises. Bharti Retail will serve all regular shopping requirements of an average Indian household offering affordable prices, great quality & wider choice. Bharti Retail is looking at launching its retail outlets in multiple consumer friendly formats in several cities across India.

The first Bharti store would be opened in the first quarter of 2008 (Earlier, Bharti had announced the opening of its first store on 15th August, 2007. The plan has been derailed by 6 to 8 months)

Bharti Enterprises, has tied up with the world’s largest retailer, the $316-billion Wal-Mart Stores Inc, for its retail venture in the domestic market, lending a dramatic twist to India’s $250-billion retail story.
