EH?
Amarna LettersAmarna, Egypt1350’s B.C.
Letter exchange between Pharaoh’s court and the administrators of Canaan (Hittites). In it they demonstrate evidence of a mass travesty leaving the Egyptian royals without a male leader. Say the Passover Angel’s slaughter followed by the Pharaoh’s death in the Red Sea?
WIN
Noah’s ArkMt.Arat, Turkey4,500 B.C.
In 2010 Chinese Christian’s announced they found Noah’s Ark. However many people suggest the Chinese have been deceived by a Turkish gov’t hoping for better tourism. The wood in the pictures, and the lack of geographic placement pictures make this sketchy at best.
However Roman and Mideval explorers, Ottoman soldiers, and World War 2 pilots have long suggested they saw an anomaly shaped like a boat on the mountain. Whether it has been correctly identified or not is not yet decided.
Black Obelisk Of Shalmaneser IIINimrud, Iraq800’s B.C.
First known depiction of an Israelite. Naming Jehu son of Omri (from our Bibles)bowing before Shalmaneser while paying tribute.
Cyrus CylinderBabylon, Iraq6th century B.C.

Taylor & Sennacherib PrismsNineveh, Iraq600’s B.C.

Mesha SteleMesha, Jordan840 B.C.

Hezekiah’s TunnelJerusalem, Israel800’s B.C.
A tunnel dug underneath Jerusalem at King Hezekiah’s command to ensure the city access to fresh water during an attack. Mentioned in 2 Kings, and 2 Chronicles
Jehohanan Crucified SkeltonJerusalem, Israel1st century
Proof of a 1st century Jew killed by Roman crucifixion. However this man did not have his hands or wrists pierced, and only one foot. Many criminals had their hands tied instead of nailed.
Shroud of TurinLirey, FranceMiddle Ages
Burial shroud associated with Jesus. It shows the marking of a man with crucifixion injuries and a crown of thorns. Believers say this image was supernaturally imprinted on the cloth when Jesus raised from the dead. The scientific dating only takes it back to middle ages making this a fake.
FAIL
Bones of PaulRome, Italy1st century
Undisputed bones of Paul have long been at a Basilica outside of Rome. Recent bone dating matched to the time of Paul’s death.
Ritual water pots Cana, Israel1st century
These water pot fragments were found in Cana that match the description of the story of Jesus turning water into wine in the same rural city.
Christ the Magician CupAlexandria, Egypt1st century-2nd century
Diviners cup that mentions the Greek word for Messiah. This could have been a magicians way to get more business in a Jewish city like Alexandria. Scholars say it might prove that Christianity and black magic were mixing.
Coptic Papyrus of Jesus wifeEgypt4th century
Fragmented text that has Jesus saying that he has a wife who is his disciple. Written three centuries after Christ, and by a non scribe according to surveyors. Rejected by 2 out 3 Harvard examiners.
Ark of the CovenantJerusalem, Israel????
An archeologist claimed to have found the ark of the covenant in a cave system underneath the place where Jesus died. This would allow Jesus blood to flow through an earthquake crack in the ground into the cave and onto the Mercy Seat of the Ark. Told stories of angels he met by it. Claims the Israeli gov’t wouldn’t let him show anyone. They sealed it all up. He failed a lie detector test. But then stuck to his story on his death bed.
Only two men know where the ark of the covenant is truly located but they are not telling.
There are many more archeology wins than listed in this power point.
