Bicon implants have changed my practicing life. Out go screws, torque drivers and expensive special tools. In comes conventionalprosthe tic s a nd the Bico n I AC . T he cost of i mpl ant s to pat ien ts isnow the same as bridgework, so the fee acceptance is not a problem.
As the peop le at B icon say , Simple . T he way it was mean t to be .How tr ue.
Dr. Clive Debenham
The Bicon System is a unique dental implant
system, offering the worldwide dental
community a comprehensive solution since
1985. Bicons engineers and clinicians have beenresponsible for many of the innovations in implant
dentistry for decades.
Bicons unique plateau design follows sound
bioengineering principles which allow for the use
of short implants. Its unique bacterially-sealed,
locking taper, implant to abutment connection
provides for 360 of universal abutment positioning
offering restorative flexibility unmatched by other
implant systems. The sloping shoulder of the
Bicon implant consistently provides for gingivally
aesthetic restorations. These restorations are easily
achieved because the bone that is maintained over
the shoulder of the implant provides support for
the interdental papillae.
Bicons unique design and its revolutionary clinical
techniques have not only passed the test of time,
but also continue to lead the field of implant
dentistry. We welcome your joining Bicon clinicians
from around the world, so that both you and your
patients may also enjoy the clinical benefits of
Bicon.
I have been placing dental implants since 1982. I have successfullyused the 6.0mm Bicon short implant since 1997 in cases thatwould have required grafting procedures and, in some instances, even nerve repositioning. The Bicon short implant providesimplant treatment for patients who otherwise may not have gone
for ward with thei r t reat men t.

Why Bicon? The Bicon implantwas designed to restoredentition without using screws. For this
reason, clinicians, technicians, and patients
do not experience the limitations and
rustrations inherent with the use o screws.

When the Bicon system was frst
introduced in 1985, its 8.0mmlength implants were considered
short most other implants wereat least 1214mm and sometimes
1820mm long!Since then, thenatural progression o Bicons
design philosophy has resulted in5.0mm, 5.7mm, and 6.0mm short
implants, all with proven clinicalsuccess.
The Bicon system has had 3.5mm implants
since 1985. These narrow implants acilitate therestoration o missing maxillary lateral incisors
as well as individual mandibular incisors. The sloping shoulder o the Bicon impl ant
enhances crestal bone preservation whileproviding space or the interdental papillae
oering the opportunity or natural-lookinggingival aesthetics.
Since 1985, each Bicon implant has been grit
blasted with alumina and passivated in anitric acid solution. This innovative controlled
surace is known as Integra-Ti. Since 1988,the Bicon implant has been available with a
calcium phosphate based treatment known asIntegra-CP.
Low-speed drillingat 50RPM without irrigation
has been thesurgical protocol oBicon,since1985.It allows a clinician to harvest the
patients own bonewith titanium reamers orautogenous grating.Slow drillingis orgiving
and is uniqueto Bicon. Additionally,it greatlyextends thelongevity othetitaniu m reamers,
thus reducinga clinicians costs.

The Restorative Dentist
TheBicon System, with its 360o universal abutment positioning and
slopingshouldered implant, oers clinicians theability to consistently
providegingivall y aesthetic restorations.Bi cons restorativetechniques

The Surgical Specialist
In addition to morepredictableand versatile placement techniques,
Bicons design provides a bacterially-sealed implant to abutment
connection.Bicon Short Implants aor d simpler and consistently more
predictabletreatments, which can signiicantly increasea patients
acceptanceoi mplants.
The Patient
TheBicon System allows the dentist to consistently oer unctional
and gingivally aesthetic restorations to patients, so that they may
truly enjoy implant prostheses that look and eel likenatural teeth.
Additionally, the odors and tastes associated with screws areavoided.
The Laboratory Technician
Many implant systems requiretheabrication o expensivecustomized
abutments. With theBi con System, technicians receivea conventional
or implant-level transer impression rom which a porcelain used to

Bicons IAC is a revolutionarycementless and screwlessrestoration without anydiscernible crown-abutmentinterface.
Bicons plateau or n design oers atleast 30% more surface area than a screwimplant of the same dimensions andallows for the callus formation of mature,cortical-like, haversian bone between thens of the implant.
PLATEAUDESIGN

Bicons sloping shoulder aords moreexibility at time of implant placementand provides for impressive bonemaintenance. It also provides moreroom for bone over the implant andenables aesthetic gingival contours tobe easily and consistently achieved.
SLOPINGSHOULDER

Before the course I knew very little about implants, now I know a great deal
and feel very comfortable doing these. This was the best implant trainingand surgery training I have ever gone to. Also the course is so fun and so
interesting that you really enjoy it. If you ever wanted to ask questions no
matter how hard or easy, they were answered well. This course went way
beyond my expectations!
