WARNING (U.V.) The fabric, stripes and threats used in big bag manufacturing are all stabilized with ultra violet (UV) protection.

Overcome tests do follow the rule ASTM G 53-96 (ISO 21898).

Big bag flexible containers can be stored outside only in short periods. If a long-term outside storage is needed, containers must be covered by hoods or folders that can protect big bags from rain and sun exposition.

USAGE AND SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read carefully the manufacturer’s label big bag has, and make you sure that filling product

doesn’t exceed authorized maximum load (Safe Working Load or SWL).

· Do not use second hand big bags. They may be damaged or contaminate your product.

· Do not reuse big bags unless they have been produced and labelled for this purpose. If that’s

the case, please examine the bags carefully before filling them again.

· Do not fill big bags with highly hot contents.

· Execute transport maneuvers in a soft way when big bag is in suspension.

· Consider the effects of electrostatic charge during big bag’s load and discharge.

· Examine visually all the big bags before filling them and check that discharge spout is

correctly closed.

· Use elevation means with capacity enough for standing suspended goods.

· Adjust forklift forks up to big bag width.

· Make you sure that forklift forks or elevation hooks have the correct size and are rounded.

· Protect big bags from rain and long-term sun exposition.

· Do not drag big bags through the floor and avoid brushes with forklift mast.

· Do not let anyone be under a suspended big bag.

· Do not lift 4 loops big bag with less of the intended elevation points. In case of drop, lift up

the bag using a string along the 4 loops.

· Do not remove forklift forks until big bag is completely stable in the floor. Avoid

brushes when introducing and removing forklift.

· Do not make more than 3 level stacking unless the big bags have been

produced for this purpose.

· Consult with your supplier any doubt you may have.

Overview Baffle model has four lifting points. Lifting loops are sewn in every corner in big bag’s main body. This model maintain its square shape when filled thank to its inner panels. This steady shape, without lateral rounding, saves over 20% space when storing or charging into transport containers. This system also improves filled bag stability.

Overview Mono and Dual models are intended to be handled in a single elevation point. Lifting loops are an extension of big bag body’s fabric, protected by a reinforcement in the top central part. Mono model must be filled laterally while Dual model allows top central filling and join the two loops in a single lifting point once filled.

Double loops for two operations: filling and lifting.

INNER LINER (OPTIONS) Adding an inner liner to the big bag is the only way to completely assure container impermeability. With an inner liner, the product is totally protected from external humidity, as well as avoids leaks through the seams or fabric –for fine powder users.

The inner liner can be incorporated in various ways: · Free inserted. If the FIBC has a discharge spout, the liner is tied with it in the bottom. · Placed and pre-blown. Before packaging big bags as a handling operation is done in which the liner is blown up and then incorporated to the big bag so that the product filling will be easier.

· Glued. The liner is glued to the inside body with a PP-appropriate adhesive called “hot-melt”. This fixing type avoids liner movements during the filling and discharging of the product.

· Sewn to big bag’s body. The liner is stitched to the top or lateral seams by inner welded fold which are sewn in the same seams as the big bag.

The inner liner would be in different shapes, raw materials and thickness depending on the further use. Usually, this liner is made in Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), but it can be manufactured in HDPE, PP, aluminum or special composites as well. For each kind of goods we’ll study the best raw material to be used (alimentary goods, dangerous goods…).
