Boost your business
How many customers travel more than half a
mile to visit the store?
When you run a local store or service, you often sell the same big brands as your competition down the road.
It can be hard to make yourself stand out from the crowd.
So, how do you become the store that people cross the street for?

Contract and feesIf you decide to take on a Post Office Local:
• You’ll receive fully variable remuneration, based on the current fee rate for relevant products and services
• Your fees will be dependent on your branch performance and external factors, including the UK retail environment, which could be higher or lower than the estimate. Product and service rates could also go up or down
• You can contract with us either individually, as part of a partnership, or through a company you control
If you contract through a company, we might require one or more personal guarantees from the owners or directors of the company
• You’ll need to integrate your Post Office branch with your retail business, and provide access to Post Office products and services for all the hours that your shop is open
• We’ll expect you to share commercial information (including retail sales data) with us on a regular basis, and support and take part in research if we ask
• You’ll need to comply with our non-compete restrictions policy
• The new contract would be a fully commercial VAT-based arrangement if you meet the VAT threshold. If you don’t, then VAT won’t apply. You should seek independent professional advice on your VAT requirements
• We can provide you with a copy of the latest version of the draft contract for information only at this stage. Please ask
