A Note from the President
I love Valentine’s Day! From the chocolate treats to the paper hearts to the beautiful floral displays in the grocery store, love abounds! I’m convinced the draw of Big Hearts for Little
Hearts Loma Linda Guild is stronger for me in February.
Remembering how much we looked forward to this holiday as children, the BHLH Loma Linda Guild plans an annual “Loving Hearts Loving You” Valentine’s Day Party for LLUCH patients, complete with balloons, bears, and books. Held this year on February 13, the party gathered young patients to the lobby (see photos at right), where they crafted their own Valentine cards. Volunteers also prepared packets of card-making supplies, which were sent to the floors for room-bound patients. How delightful to witness the creativity of the children as they made their custom cards.
Mark your calendar now for our 3rd Annual Family Fitness Fun 5K & Expo, Sunday, April 2, 2017 — a fun, active day for the entire family! Plan to walk, run, or stroll your way around a beautiful Redlands neighborhood and then enjoy the exhibits, tasty treats, crafts — and an amazing guided obstacle course for kids.
