SUMMER DEPLOYMENT- OVERVIEWThis summer is action packed! Two years ago, we revamped our Gourmet Burger presentation, launched the Finest Line, and started to transform our restaurants interior and exterior appearance. It’s time to update the rest of the menu! We will be launching a new salad platform and kid’s program as well as new plating and presentation for soups, sandwiches, appetizers, and entrées. Red Robin is providing you the resources and new tools to make this a successful deployment. Listed below are all of the exciting elements for this deployment.

Summer PromotionIn this window, Red Robin wants to continue to build our equity in the Burger & A Movie (BAM) occasion and position ourselves as the undisputed choice to eat before or after watching a movie at ANY time of day. As the Gourmet Burger Authority, we don’t just limit our Guests to Dinner & a Movie. Just as the Terminator has an insatiable desire for more, Red Robin Guests can never get enough of our fire-grilled Gourmet Burgers. Introducing the NEW! The Genisys Burger! 6 oz. beef patty, roasted jalapeño, pepper-jack cheese, shredded romaine, bacon, tomatoes and jalapeño aioli, all on a jalapeno-cornmeal bun. It will have our guests saying…”I’ll Be Back!” Joining The Genisys Burger, will be the NEW! Blue Haze – a signature drink to help support our BAM-themed window. It includes Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Blue Curacao and pineapple juice, complete with a strategically-placed cherry, to mimic The Terminator’s Red Eye! We will continue to lean into “value” by featuring our very popular $3/5/7/9 appetizer array, which will be partnered with a Leinenkugel Summer Shandy, one of the most popular seasonal beers in the country. With the launch of our refreshed salad category, we will feature the Banzai Salad, paired with our Team Member winning cocktail, “kick $#@” Ameri-Can™ Mule collectible can – a Red Robin twist on the very trendy Moscow Mule beverage. And lastly, we will pull forward our Chocolate Fruffles – one of our most popular desserts – to help protect PPA and drive add-ons.

Spiral Menu We continue to update our Spiral Menu layout, to reflect the guest mindset and improve the overall guest experience. Spiral Menu updates include:

� Menu shells should be inspected for wear and damage and new shells should be ordered for replacements. � Introduction of the healthful eating section to highlight ways to cut calories from meal choices. � Updated Salads platform and photography to reflect our new salads refresh. � Sabra has been removed from the menu copy description of Heck-Yeah Hummus. � Added the Classic Mini Wedge to the Sides/Sub page (still only available as a side not a sub).

Kids’ Menu Looking to elevate our brand with an enhanced and refreshed kids experience, we will launch a new kids platform on 6/15. This is our opportunity to stay ahead of our competition, while maintaining our edge with kids. Utilizing a holistic approach, we will introduce several new elements:

Drinks & Desserts MenuA new Drinks and Desserts Menu will go live on 6/15. It will include updated front and back creative, playing off of our quirky personality and variety of beverages / desserts. PREP RECIPE KEY EXECUTION NOTESMixed Greens

� Adjust your pars on arugula, as you will see an increase in usage now that it is used in mixed greens. � Ingredients must be fresh and high quality. � Stir GENTLY but thoroughly with gloved hands to prevent product from bruising. � If large pieces of pre-chopped iceberg are found, use your hands to break them up. � Remove all discolored or wilted pieces.

Cheesy Bread Crouton � Crouton must be toasted on both sides. � Garlic butter should be basted coast to coast for maximum flavor. � Keep un-toasted bread bagged to prevent it from going stale. � Do not store under heat lamp or the cheesy bread croutons will dry out quickly.

Grilled Romaine � Trim core to remove any browning. � Romaine halves must be lightly oiled prior to grilling to add flavor and to help the Alderwood Smoked Salt to stick. � Do not grill romaine in the hot spot of the broiler. � Grilled romaine should show grill marks but not be charred. � Cool immediately after grilling to stop the cooking process.

BOTTOMLESS PASTAS:In order to maximize value, enure high quality, and invest in the future of our Kids Program, Red Robin will be removing bottomless pastas. We know bottomless pastas can be a value to our Guests, however we believe that all of the upgrades we are making with the Kids refresh will balance out removing bottomless pastas. STORAGE � Ensure menus are not thrown into storage baskets, as this significantly damages and shortens the life of these menus. � Do not store menus between POS stations and printers or near beverage stations. The kids menu must stay away from

water, quat buckets and other areas where they can be exposed to extreme moisture. � Do not expose your menus to heat lamps or extreme temperatures.

CLEANING � Kid’s menus should be cleaned using 3 cups of warm water and 1 oz. of Clean & Smooth Hand Soap. Wipe each side of

the menu with a well rung out towel.

BURGERS FOR BETTER SCHOOLS™We are excited to announce the launch of our new charitable giving program, Burgers for Better Schools. The objective of this program is to extend the reach and relevance of Red Robin Royalty® by providing new and existing members the opportunity to select a local K-12 school to support. Every time a Royalty member dines at Red Robin, 1% of their check will be donated to the school of their choice. Not only will this program set us apart from our competition but it will also make it easier for restaurants to execute fundraiser nights and make a connection with their local community.

Program Overview: � In order to participate, Guests must first be a member of Red Robin Royalty. � Members can sign up for Burgers for Better Schools on their account dashboard or by visiting

http://betterschools.redrobin.com. � Once a school is selected, 1% of every check (excluding tax & gift card sales) at a Red Robin location will go towards

that school. � All 501(c)(3) K-12 schools nationwide are eligible, if a member does not see their school you may have them

contact [email protected] for help adding it. � Members will be able to change their school selection throughout the year on their account dashboard.

Payment to the Schools � Payments will be made to the schools on a quarterly basis by our partner, Kula Causes. � If a school has less than $10 raised in a quarter, the balance will carry over to the next quarter and continue accumulating

until it reaches the $10 minimum. � Funding will be covered by your LRM dollars based on spending from Burgers for Better School participants at your

location.

Program Details In-Restaurant/Scripting � Burgers for Better Schools will be added to all Red Robin Royalty in-restaurant marketing materials as well as online. � Burgers for Better Schools should be incorporated into current Red Robin Royalty scripting as an added benefit of

joining the program, especially when serving families with school-aged kids. � New Members - When scripting the Royalty program to non-members, hand out Red Robin Royalty information and include Burgers for Better Schools as a benefit to the program.

� Current Members - When talking about Royalty with existing members, you can mention the Burgers for Better Schools program and hand them a Burgers for Better Schools postcard with more information.

Responding to Fundraiser Requests � Please encourage anyone who requests to do a fundraiser night to join Red Robin Royalty and select their local school

so that 1% of all their transactions go towards the school all year long. � Recommend that they spread the word to other friends and families since more people participating will equate to

higher donations. � We will offer surprise and delight opportunities specific to Burgers for Better Schools throughout the year and are

working on a process to accept requests for additional fundraising opportunities.

SMALLWARESRestaurants will be receiving two smallware courtesy shipments. Due to the quantity and cost of this shipment, it is critical that each restaurant follow the outlined receiving procedures.

In the first delivery, you will be receiving 30 – 40 cases which will include all 7” plates, 12” plates, soup cups, and soup bowls (quantities will vary by volume). In addition, all restaurants will be receiving 2 cases of the kid’s plates, 1 case of the summer beer cans, and 1 pkg of Terminator picks.

In the second delivery, your restaurant will receive 5 – 10 cases which will include the remaining kid’s plates (quantities will vary by volume.) Additionally, all restaurants will receive 2 cases of summer beer cans. Please note: Each restaurant will only receive a total of 3 cases of summer beer cans between the two deliveries. Once you have sold out of your summer beer cans, switch to the RR beer cans for the Ameri-Can Mule.

TimingFor the first delivery, a salaried manager is required to check in the order within 24 hours of receiving product. The form will be available as of 5/11. Once you have filled out your Smallwares Check-In Form, you will need to scan a copy to [email protected].

For the second delivery, since this will be considerably smaller you will check in this order as you would any Ed Don order. If there are issues with the second delivery, please immediately email [email protected] and CC [email protected].

Restaurant Financial & Invoicing ImpactAll invoices for this promotion will be paid at the home office. Important Note: Summer beer cans will hit the restaurant’s P&L, while all other small wares will not. No budgets adjustments will be made. In order to support restaurants in maintaining visibility to these supplies expenses, restaurants will see the following Allocations to “Restaurant Supplies” during Q2:

GREAT AMERICAN BEER FESTIVAL Red Robin is partnering with The Great American Beer Festival (GABF) the premier U.S. beer festival and competition. Each year, GABF represents the largest collection of U.S. beer served (over 5,500 beers), in a public tasting event plus a private competition. GABF brings together over 1,300 brewers and diverse beers that make the U.S. the world’s greatest brewing nation.

GABF was founded in 1982 and has been growing and evolving along with the American craft brewing industry ever since. GABF takes place at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, September 24-26, 2015 and half of the 60,000 attendees come from outside of Colorado. This is a great opportunity for Red Robin to get our brand in front of current and potential Guests and inform them of our beer offerings so the next time they dine with us, they will order a beer!

LABOR & RAW MATERIAL DEPLETION

LABOROn 6/15, the labor model will be updated to reflect the changes which result from all aspects of the Summer Deployment.

DEPLETIONWith the launch of the Summer Deployment on 6/15, the following raw materials are being deleted:

� Linguini � Corn Dogs � Black Olives � Cranberries � Walnuts � Croutons � Romaine Lettuce*

*The information below does NOT apply to Romaine Lettuce, which will be available for order through 6/13.

Ideally, every item listed on our menu would be available to Guests until 6/15, but we understand the difficulty and COGS implications associated; therefore, restaurants are required to maintain inventory for all current menu items until 6/1. After 6/1, it is acceptable to run out of the above items. This will provide restaurants with the opportunity to manage down their on-hand inventory of these items.

� Please politely inform Guests that in order to continue to offer great new menu items, we have an upcoming menu change and these items are out a bit ahead of schedule. Based on the menu item that the Guest had requested, use Triple R service to help them find an alternate option.

Furthermore, these raw materials will be discontinued at the DCs on 5/30. Our distributors will be required to have inventory until this date but will not fulfill any orders past 5/30.

Additionally, the above listed SKUs will be deleted from MenuLink and the POS on the 6/15 go live date. Traditionally, restaurants have 2 weeks to deplete inventory after the new menu goes live. However, for the Summer Deployment the deleted items have been replaced by elevated presentations (i.e. corn dogs and linguini) or the new presentations which do not include the old raw materials (i.e. croutons and black olives). With that said, it will be the responsibility of the restaurant to manage down the inventory of these items prior to the 6/15 go live date.

In addition to the above raw materials, 4 alcohols will be deleted from the Menulink and the POS. These alcohols have not been in beverage recipes for a significant amount of time, can no longer be purchased from the distributors, and should no longer be inventoried. These products include:
