BIKE SHED - PARIS 2015 - APRIL/AVRIL 11/12This April the Bike Shed will come to Paris to stage it’s first exhibition of 2015, celebrating modern motorcy-cle custom creative culture, and the lifestyle around bikes and biking.

BEHIND THE BIKE SHED...Founded in 2011, The Bike Shed is a co-op of motorcycle builders, riders and writers who operate under a single banner as the Bike Shed Motorcycle Club, staging events and running digital publishing under the Bike Shed brand, which promotes the new wave creative culture around the cafe racer, scrambler & brat-style custom scenes. Although our focus is on the creative custom culture around motorcycles, we are welcoming and open to all riders and non-riders alike.

The Bike Shed’s online pages reach up to one million people a week via over 300,000 Facebook followers and serve around 700,000 pages a month to 130,000 unique users on the Bike Shed main website at www.thebikeshed.cc, all of whom are motor-cycle aficionados and enthusiasts. The website publishes daily features on custom builds and builders, as well as a weekly Gear Guide, events and news. The website also hosts Custom Motorcycle Classifieds, a Forum and Video Library.

We work closely with motorcycle, retail and fashion brands on class-leading exhibitions and events that redefine what motorcy-cling means in the digital age; where everyone craves a little analogue time, and an escape from our health & safety culture into something with more character, passion ingenuity and originality. In 2015 The Bike Shed will host events in Paris and London, launch an online store, produce a Quartely printed bookazine, and we have plans for a fulltime venue in London.

Whether they’re bike aficionados or just enjoy the atmos-phere, visitors to this weekend event will enjoy over 100 custom motorcycles from Europe’s best artisan builders, both professional and amateur, alongside stunning art and photography, hosted in one of Paris’ most beautiful spaces, Carreau du Temple; with great food, barrista coffee, licensed bars, motorcycle and fashion apparel. The London event in May 2014 at Tobacco Dock attracted over 7,000 visitors.

This is not your average motorcycle show just for bikers: Just like the celebrated London exhibition, Bike Shed Paris will be welcoming, comfortable and designed as a place for all, where you may want to hang out for the whole day, whether you arrive on two-wheels or by Metro.

Expect to see brand new custom motorcycles debut from the new wave, modern-retro scene, from cafe racers to brat-style, bobbers to street scramblers and trackers, built from bikes of all ages from classic to modern day machines. Besides the bikes and art, the Gentleman’s lounge will host a Barbershop and there’ll be a Tattoo parlour, plus a curated selection of quality gear from brands that define the scene.

The exhibition runs on Sat 11th and Sunday 12th April at the historic Carreau du Temple situated between the Marais and Republique, opening at 10am on both days, closing at 10pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday. Tickets are €15 for the weekend with multiple entry. Children under 16 go free.
