Year 6 News - In Maths over the next 2 weeks we will be completing activities on fractions, number sentences, properties of 3D objects, volume and area. It will be the final weeks for our Reading and Spelling programs over the next fortnight. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all parents who were able to assist in the classroom during the year. Your help is very much appreciated by myself and the students.

Year 6 is very much looking forward to our presentation activities on Tuesday of next week. The students have been practising hard to make it a wonderful time. We hope everyone is able to come along and enjoy it. In keeping with previous years Year 6 will be completing some graduation formalities on this night, but our final farewell activities and presentations will be at our final school assembly on Wednesday 11th December commencing at 9.45am. We hope parents are able to come along to see them cut the graduation cake on this special occasion. We have also organised a day out for Year 6 on Thursday 12th December. Next week Year 6 will receive information in regard to this day. The note will explain the activities we have planned. We will be travelling by bus and at this stage it is envisaged students will not return to school until 6.30pm, so parents will need to make arrangements to pick up their children. A final reminder to parents that the Colo High Year 7 Orientation Day is on Wednesday 4th December. Parents will need to take their children to the high school and stay with them for the duration of the day. Students will be given a tour of the school by their peer support leaders while parents attend information sessions. All supervision of students will be organised by the high school as it is not necessary for me to be there on the day.
