Inventory Control Duties: Systematically catalog the inventory of various hardware parts for clinical diagnostics
instruments that include: BioPlex Multiplex, D-10 Hemoglobin, Variant II, Tango Optimo/Infinity, and Evolis System using the ERP software AMDOCS Oracle Client.
Monitor the trunk stock inventory for over 85 Field Service Engineers across the United States. Facilitate part request transfers that include: FSE (Field Service Engineer) trunk stock, warehouse
bins, and plant locations. o Assist with inventory investigations when discrepancies arise for both trunk stock
locations and Bio-Rad’s Benicia, CA warehouse inventory count.o Follow up with FSE and territory managers to ensure the parts are received both
physically and electronically into the proper FSE’s inventory locations when subcases are transferred.
o Consume parts out of FSE’s inventory when notified of inventory variances. Tasks within AMDOCS include:
o Manage the configuration of invoices, packing lists, and fulfillment of part requests submitted by field service engineers, instrument specialists, and technicians.
o Create; modify part requests through Field Advisor. Fulfill orders (allocating parts to complete orders).
Documenting serial numbers for specialized parts. Ensuring proper FedEx hold locations are selected and entered as
correct shipping destinations. Specify FedEx delivery methods for shipping coordinator.
Ship verification (entering tracking numbers for corresponding orders). Responsible for placing part requests and customer sales orders through SAP when inventory is
available at Bio-Rad’s Hercules, CA and Woodinville, WA warehouses. Duties within SAP include:
o Ensuring proper billing and shipping info is transcribed from part request documentso Creating purchase requisitions: stock transfer requests (STR)o Creating purchase orders: stock transfer orders (STO)o Generating outbound delivery numbers: handling unit/ tracking numberso Fulfilling customer orders (no charge sale orders)o Identifying the activity log, planned transactions, and receipts for multiple hardware
parts. Administer the electronic installation/de-installation of multiple PRU (Permanent Replacement
Unit) Instruments for numerous hospitals, health clinics, and research laboratories.o PRU Instruments include:
Bioplex Detector Luminex, LX100E D10 Rack LoaderPR3100 TSC Microplate Reader PR4100 Absorbance Microplate
Reader
Shipping and Receiving Duties: Pull part request orders when parts are available at Benicia, CA warehouse.
Assist shipping coordinator with packaging part request orders on high volume workdays. Verify correct parts and quantity for incoming packages from Woodinville, WA; Hercules, CA;
and repaired parts vendor Cokeva warehouses.o Electronically catalog, receive parts into AMDOCS as inventory stock for Benicia, CA
warehouse and close line orders for STOs. Responsible for coordinating with Bio-Rad’s forward stocking company, NGL (National Global
Logistics) when parts are available at their various warehouses for FSE’s.o Duties include: submitting part requests through NGL’s website, ensuring proper
shipping destinations/ shipment methods are entered correctly, and maintaining an accurate inventory count between NGL’s and Bio-Rad’s ERP databases.
Notify proper personnel when variances differ between the two databases. o NGL warehouse locations include:
Astoria, NY College Park, GAFarmers Branch, TX Ontario, CAWood Dale, IL Arbutus, MD
Quality and Compliance Control Duties: Coordinate with international calibration vendors: Tecan and Stratec to have reader verification
plates calibrated for depo technicians.o Compile necessary safety decon, purchase order, RMA, and other quality control
documents for calibration shipment.o Ensure correct info is inputted into FedEx Ship Manager: currency values are converted
properly and part descriptions are detailed accurately for commercial invoices. Responsible for restricting goods in inventory cage when parts are deemed defective by quality
inspectors, product service engineers, and technical product managers.o Help coordinate with quality specialists when parts need to be recalled and shipped to
various Bio-Rad facilities for inspection. Notify proper personnel when availability expectancy for specific parts needs to be escalated.
o Coordinate with technicians, engineers, buyers, and planners when parts need to be expedited to satisfy customer’s urgent instrument issues.
Oversee the serialized meter calibration program by physically shipping out and electronically installing/de-installing various meters into FSE’s inventory trunk stock location.
Coordinate with calibration vendor, MicroPrecisions, to ensure expired meters are re-calibrated, and cycled out to the field for engineers to use at customer site locations.
o Create detailed spreadsheets to catalog meters expiration dates and verify correct inventory trunk stock locations.
