The launching of Biobanks in the Philippines is still on
its infancy stage and the constraints of the its +idespread
infor, ation is not +ell4taken into concept by the "ilipinos.
The reality is that in a Developing Country like the
Philippines! the eposure of the general public and their
a+areness to the idea of +hat a Biobank is taking a stall
on their health. Technology like any other ,ust be utili6edin order to ,ai,i6e the potential of the society and not
stunt its gro+th. f everybody has a facebook account +ith
a readily available internet connection. The health sector
should bo,bard the public of the ne+ and breakthrough

the +orking class but the need to raise a+areness. That in
the country! +e have a biobank that could help cancer
patients in their battle against the grueling disease. @hat
is ,ore surprising is that it is free to store the speci, ens
of the patients. @ith the future at bay! the scope of
biobanking should be broadened to include the sper,
banks in the country. Bearing the fact that +e do not have
at present a Sper, Bank in the country! the closest +e
can get is the n itro "ertili6ation! $aturation! ntrauterine
