Biography

Dr Hilary Paul is a Partner and portfolio manager at LGT ILS Partners Ltd.

Prior to the team’s transfer to LGT in June 2012, Ms Paul held was responsibileity for the

modelling and the analysis of non-life insurance-linked investments within Clariden Leu’s

Insurance-Linked Investments department from April 2007 until May 2012. Before that, Ms

Paul spent five years as a senior risk analyst in the Global Natural Hazards Team at Converium

Reinsurance Company where she focused on actuarial and risk modelling, group portfolio

management, and alternative risk transfer of natural catastrophe risks.

Ms Paul holds a MSc in Earth Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a PhD

in Geochemistry and Climatology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH).
