They are an important component of students’ education at the University of Illinois. Besides specializing in a major and training for a career, students should become familiar with some of the many other rapidly changing disciplines. This worksheet illustrates the different categories of campus general education courses, the number of courses required in each category, and which categories will be fulfilled with your required courses in Biology (IB, MCB, Bio Teacher Ed). In some cases, a single course may meet more than one requirement. If you have questions, please feel free to speak with a biology advisor or your records officer (ARO) in Room 2002 Lincoln Hall.
