promoting confidence, social awareness, equity and empathy in our
students and community.

Party for $225
We'll create a unique experience for your party,
getting your child and their friends on their feet,
playing theater games, and stretching their
imaginations.
Birthday parties include:
A personalized 45- 60 minute drama
workshop with one of our teaching artists for
a maximum of 15 students
60 additional minutes in our space to
celebrate
Plates, napkins, cups, eating utensils, and
table cloths
Parties should be booked a minimum of 2 weeks
in advance; food and beverages are not included.
Workshop curriculum is based on the age of the
Birthday Child. We recommend:
STORY DRAMA- AGES 4-7 YEARS
ACTING or COMEDY WORKSHOP- AGES 8-12

Mode Music and Performing Arts envisions a future where children’s

Mode Music and Performing Arts (MMPA) is a non-profit arts organization based in West Seattle. Founded by Kristina Rowell and Erin Rubin, MMPA is ready for launch in 2018.
MMPA strives to provide exciting and innovative performing arts training. We believe that it is vital every child experience the arts and have the opportunity to create on and off stage. Our professional teaching artists are skilled at offering a wide variety of performing arts classes from acting technique to musical theater to play creation and performance.

MODE DRAMA DAYS (1st - 6th grades)
No school? Come to Mode for a full day of drama, creation and fun!
8:30am - 3:30pm
Tuition for each Mode Drama Day is $85.
January 15th—Broadway Day!
Students will spend the day singing, acting and dancing!
January 31st—Comedy Improv Day!
Spend a day learning the art of improvisation and comedic acting.

Winter Quarter Classes run Monday Feb. 5 - March 30
7 weeks of classes (no classes week of 2/19-2/23)
Tuition for each class: $175
Harry Potter Scene Study 3-5 grades Mondays 4-5:30pm
Elephant and Piggie Story Drama K -2nd grades Wednesdays 2:30pm to 4pm
Descendants Play Creation 3-5 grades Wednesdays 4:30-6pm
Improv Comedy 4-6 grades Thursdays 4:30-6pm
Group Voice 4-6 grades Fridays 4-5:30pm
Mid-Winter Break Camp at Mode
Tuition is $350. Tuition with after camp care is $450.
February 19th—23rd (3rd - 6th grades)
Learn a variety of theater skills including stage combat, scene study, and play creation in this jam-packed week of performing arts training! On Friday we’ll perform for our family and friends.

Bring MMPA to Your School!
Our after school outreach programs typically run 90 minutes on a weekly basis for 8-12 weeks.
The list below is an example of class offerings. Please don't hesitate to reach out to customize an outreach class for your group.
CREATIVE DRAMA (4 yrs-1st grade) In creative drama class we use our imaginations to travel to a fantastical world, invent characters, find problems and create our own solutions.
STORY DRAMA (K-2nd grades) Dive into books and recreate and explore them in class using our bodies, imaginations and voices.
ACTING 101 (1st grade and up) This beginning acting class provides students with the tools they need for a strong foundation in acting.
SCENE STUDY (3rd-5th or 6th-12 grade) Using scenes from contemporary theater, students learn how to turn words on a page into living, breathing characters.
COMEDY AND COMBAT (3rd-5th or 6th-8th) In this physical comedy class, young actors learn the basics of unarmed stage combat and comedic acting techniques.
ONE ACT PLAY (3rd - 5th or 6th - 8th grade) Perform a one act play complete with costumes and props!
PLAYWRITING (3rd - 5th or 6th-8th grade) Learn how to take an idea and create an entire world. In this interactive course students create characters, write dialogue and more.
PLAY CREATION & PERFORMANCE (3rd grade an up) Students create and perform a world premiere!
MUSICAL PRODUCTION (3rd grade and up) Put on a show! We cast, rehearse and perform a fully-staged musical.
