Build vs. BITeamwork
• Building takes the implementation down a “rabbit hole” • Building usually involves application developers unfamiliar with
the BI System • Building is usually a quick and dirty solution not adhering to any
standards or maintainable code • Building from scratch may meet an initial requirement but will
not scale for the cost to value associated with development. • BITeamwork is a packaged solution built and tested for thorough
compatibility • BITeamwork meets Collaborative BI requirements against dozens
of companies and accepts enhancement requests
Build vs. BITeamwork
Build
• Basic commenting development takes 2-4 weeks.
• No cell comments, history, or admin features
• No reliable maintenance plan to align with Oracle BI patching and releases
• No seamless integration • Not available across all dashboard • No Cell Commenting • Typically forces dashboards/report into
using different layouts or alignment • No consistency or feedback with
external
Buy
• Packaged Solution with enterprise support and development roadmap
• Enhancement requests baked into every release
• Integrates seamlessly into Middle Tier and BI System.
• Documentation, User Guides, Training • Bug/Issue Tracking system • Migration and Upgrade Paths • Built by Oracle ACEs • Quick Purchase to Implementation to
Value and Lower Cost to Value
