SponsorshipsFriends of Black Rock Retreat contribute to a sponsorship fund in order to assist those unable to afford the cost of camp. It is our desire that every child who wants to come to camp has the opportunity to do so. If financial assistance is needed, please email the office at help@blackrockretreat.com or call (717) 529-3370. In order to receive a full sponsorship a $25 deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable, however, it is transferable to the camper’s snack shop account.

Location: Black Rock Retreat is located on over 100 acres of beautiful woodland in Southern Lancaster County, PA. We are roughly 1½ hours from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Harrisburg.

About Black Rock Retreat:Black Rock Retreat is a non-profit, non-denominational, Christian camp and retreat center with a rich 60+ year history. We also offer other programs such as year-round retreats, Outdoor Education, Jr. and Sr. High Winter Camps, Day Camp, Lock-ins, and day events such as laser tag, ropes course, and glow dodgeball.

Campers should arrive for check-in between 10 am and 10:30 am.

Why Tiered Pricing?Tiered pricing helps keep camp affordable for as many families as possible. It also allows those who can afford it to partner with us in covering more of the costs of camp. Families may choose the price that best fits their financial situation. All campers receive the same experience regardless of what tier they pay. Daily Life at Camp:Campers sleep in modern, dormitory-style cabin facilities, each equipped with its own bathroom. Three hearty meals are served each day including two family-style meals served in the air-conditioned dining hall, and one outdoor picnic meal. If your camper has allergies, our kitchen staff will gladly work with you to accommodate their dietary needs. All of our facilities meet or exceed OSHA and PA State inspection standards. A Health Care Manager is on duty and on-site, 24 hours a day to care for dietary needs, handle illnesses, and administer medication, First Aid, and emergency care. All of our lifeguards are certified, and all staff are trained in CPR/AED and First Aid. Every day is filled with a wide range of games, classes, and spiritual activities that kids love! Note from the Summer Camp Director:Hi there! My name is Josh, and I love being the Summer Camp Director because all the best things in my life have happened at Black Rock Retreat! I came to Black Rock Retreat as a camper 22 years ago and

dedicated my life to Christ. Later, I started working on summer staff and met some of my best friends including my wife, Bethany. It was also at camp that I discovered my calling to work with youth. My desire is that Black Rock Retreat be a refuge in God’s creation that encourages spiritual growth and restoration for each camper. I hope to see you this summer as we explore the theme of “Illuminate” and let God shine in our places of darkness so that we can walk in His light! 13
