TRANSCRIPT
Steeped in tradition, the ritual and sport of
mounted foxhunting is thrilling for both riders
and spectators alike. Hounds in full cry and
thundering hooves combine to create the ultimate
equestrian experience, and hunters become one
with nature while immersed in the adventure of
this great sport. At the Blackberry Stables, our
guests learn protocol, etiquette and the culture of
the hunt in a spirit of camaraderie and fun. Each
foxhunting weekend begins with a seminar
entitled “Passion of the Hunt,” in which
participants interact with the Master, huntsman
and hounds, and have the opportunity to ask
questions in a casual setting. Riders then meet
their mounts and are prepared to follow hounds.
Each of our three weekends offers unique
experiences with a variety of ceremony, dining
and hunting adventures offered. Foot followers
are always welcome to enjoy the pageantry of
foxhunting! In addition to mounted foxhunting,
we offer rabbit hunting on foot for all - with both
nationally recognized beagle and basset packs.
Meet the people and creatures that have made the
hunt a lasting tradition for centuries and celebrate
a day in the countryside with friends,
horsemanship, fine dining and wine.
