SNOW WHITE

Story teller: Once upon a time, there lived a princess called Snow White. Her father, the King, was dead. Snow White lived with her wicked stepmother.

The Queen (Stepmother): Magic mirror on the wall, Who is the most beautiful one of all?

Story teller: But the Queen was still jealous of Snow White. And she asked the same question every day:

The Mirror: Famed is your beauty Majesty. Princes from all over the world know you are one of the most beautiful women in the word, but I see a lovely maid, Alas, she is more beautiful than you, Lips as red as a rose , hair as black as ebony. Skin as white as snow.

The Queen: Snow White. It cannot be.

1. Music: “Snow White Wishing”

Story teller: Just at that moment, outside the Palace, Snow White dressed in rags was cleaning.

The Prince: Oh she sings beautifully. Who is this girls dressed in rags cleaning the floor. Her voice is wonderful. I think I am in love. Excuse me Huntsman. Who is this beautiful girl?

Huntsman: Sir, this is Snow White the Queen’s step daughter. Her father died and she lives in the castle with the queen, her Stepmother. The Queen is jealous of her beauty and that’s why she is dressed in rags and has to do all the work in the castle.

The Prince: Oh that’s very cruel! Now I’m sure. I like Snow White. I’m going to marry her instead of the Queen. I cannot marry a vain woman who is so cruel with her stepdaughter.

2. Music: “Storm”

The Queen (Stepmother): Huntsman!!! Come here immediately. Take Snow White out into the forest. and kill her.

Huntsman: I can’t kill Snow White. She is so kind and innocent. Run away into the forest and hide. The Queen must think that you are dead. You must never return. I will show the Queen this animal’s heart. I will tell her it is yours.

3. Music: “Danger in the forest”

Snow White: Oh I’m alone, and all those noises! I’m so afraid! I’m frightened..

Birds : (birds singing) Follow us Snow White. Don’t be afraid. There’s a little cottage in the forest. You can hide there.

Snow White: (She knocked on the door) Who lives in this small house? Everything is so small. Oh there are seven little chairs, and seven little spoons, and seven little plates, and seven little beds. Perhaps children live here. But everything is so untidy! I’m going to clean this little cottage!

Story teller: After all that work she went to the beds and fell asleep.. In the evening the seven little men came back to the cottage

4. Music:”Hei ho”

Dwarfs: Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, It’s home from work we go

Doc1 : What has happened? The cottage is clean. We never tidy up, or do the washing up. The floor is swept. And everything is tidy.

Sneezy2: And how about this delicious smell coming from this pot. Someone has prepared a wonderful soup!

Bashful3: Maybe it’s ghosts. Oh maybe we are not in our cottage, we are in a different place and a monster is going to come in an eat us all.

Grumpy4: Come on Bashful. Don’t be so stupid. Someone has come into our cottage and has done all these things. May be he wants our cottage. Let’s look for him. Careful men Search everywhere.

Snow White ( stirred and woke up)

All the dwarfs: oh it’s a girl. Her lips are so red, and her skin is so white and her hair is so black

Doc1: Who are you little girl? Where do you come from? What are you doing here?

Snow White: I’m Snow White. The Queen wants to kill me, so I must hide in this forest. Who are you?

I’m Doc. I’m Grumpy. I’m Bashful. I’m Sleepy. I’m Sneezy. I’m Happy. And he’s Dopey (all together)

Snow White: I’m very pleased to meet you all. If you let me stay here, I promise I’ll look after the house for you. I’ll wash and sew and cook. You can go and wash now.

Dwarfs: Ok that’s great!

Grumpy 4 : I knew there was a catch to it! Well I would like to see anybody make me wash!

Doc 1: OK Let’s wash him! Toss him into the wash-tub

Grumpy 4 Stop! Don’t do that!

Sneezy : Scrub him clean!

Story teller: After the bath they ate.

Bashful 4: the food is so delicious! I love it. I didn’t know vegetables were so delicious. And what’s that? Is it strawberry cake? It’s my favourite.

Sneezy: Let’s dance!

5. Music: “Dancing and singing” 6. Music danger1:

The Queen (Stepmother): Magic Mirror, Magic Mirror, who is the most beautiful of all?

Mirror: Snow White, who lives with the seven little men. She’s the most beautiful of all.

The Queen: the huntsman didn’t kill her. I will kill her myself.

Story teller: she disguised as an old woman and she prepared a deadly gift for the princess, a poisonous apple.

7. Music: “Danger2 ” The Witch is coming”

The Queen: One bite of this and Snow White will fall into the sleep of death. Only love’s kiss can save her, but the little men will think she’s dead and bury her alive. Ja Ja Ja

The Story Teller: the very next day, the old woman visited Snow White

The Queen (Stepmother): (knock at the door) Try one, pretty maid. They are magic apples, one bite and all your dreams will come true.

Story Teller: Snow White took a bite and fell to the floor.

Queen: Now I’m the most beautiful in the land. Je, je, je….

8. Music: “Real Danger”

Story Teller: When the 7 little men came home from work they found Snow White on the floor.

Doc1: Snow White, wake up Snow White! You are so young. And we need you to keep our little cottage clean and tidy. And when you sing everybody is happy. Even Grumpy likes your voice!

Sneezy2: Oh she is dead! I can smell it! Let’s build a special bed for her. One that is made of glass and gold. She is our Princess and we will make the most beautiful box for her, so that everybody can see how beautiful she is.

Grumpy3: We will keep watch over her day and night. May be she is not dead and if she wakes up I want to be here with her.

Sneezy2: Oh it’s winter now! It’s snowing. But she is still so beautiful. How can that be possible?

Bashful4: It’s as if she were sleeping. But she is not sleeping. Do you think the Wicked Queen has done some magic trick?

7. Music: “The Prince ” (First Kiss)

Prince: (comes riding his horse. Try to make sounds of horse moving….)

Oh What’s that box? Oh there’s a girl inside. She’s so beautiful. Oh it’s the girl in the palace. Why is she here? Why is she inside this glass box? Oh I’m so in love with her. I must kiss her.

Doc1: Oh she is awake. At last!

Grumpy4: I told you she wasn’t dead. I was right. She’s alive. She is alive!

Prince: Snow White. I’m in love with you. You must come with me. We will marry and be happy ever after.

Snow White: Yes we will, but I must say good-bye to my little friends.

Dwarfs: good bye Snow White. We will miss you

Snow White: Good bye! Don’t worry I will visit you!

Doc 1: Now, who is going to tidy the cottage?

Grumpy 3: I’m not! I’m not going to spend the day cleaning, you know?

Sneezy2: So you are going to prepare delicious food for all of us while we do the washing and the cleaning?

Bashful4: But he cook! We will burn the cottage! Are you crazy?
