  • TypePad has added new features over the past year including:
    • Letting the search engines know about your blog
    • Top and Footer Navigation
    • Using TypePad as an CMS
    • Connecting a Domain to a blog

  • There are 3 elements on the blog or page that are of concern when addressing SEO:
    • The Title Tag
    • The Keywords Field
    • The File Name

  • The Title Tag
    • Helps to summarize the post. Its helpful to use succinct titles to catch attention. Be sure to include your main keyword(s) without overkill.

  • Keywords
    • Include Keywordsand phases separated by a comma. Its best to include between 10 to 15 keywords per page or post.

  • Filename
    • Including a filename that makes sense in key in SEO. Most put in the name of the title, but others includeup to 2 to 3 keyword phases, separated by a hyphen - or underscore _ so that the search engines and visitors can read the name easily.

  • TypePad has the option of setting a page as the homepage instead of the blog page.

  • A TypePad addition that enables sites to have CMS functionality are the Navigation Bars.
