BLOODSUCKER PART 1

Bloodsucker

She sucked him in,

ate his heart out,

and left with a smile on her face.

Instilled these feelings like little bugs,

eating away his insides.

Painted the canvas black,

so that the negatives seemed positive.

Made him love what he hated,

and in the end all that was left

was his longing for the sin.

Skipping Record

Like a skipping record,

she bites, you bite,

and we draw blood.

No resolution to be sought

but this ongoing pain

that we cling to and call love.

No victims here...

Just two lovers trapped in

a game we're bound to play,

for a God that's just mind-made.

Open Window

I want to be a fly on your wall,

only for desire. Only for desire.

See through the window

so you’re exposed.

Your mind will take us places

only imagined,

and this pleases you

to feel the lust.

A strengthening of

self-empowerment.

Foolish Pet

This obsessive possession

is a noose around your neck.

Heel, you foolish pet.

Off the leash and

you run amuck.

Jealousy bleeds from every pore

until it’s dried us dry.

You return in the dead of night

for the warm comfort.

And when you sit at his side,

he turns to stone.

House of Sin

We choose to live

in this House of Sin,

where evil rests

underneath the floorboards.

A crack and it’s released.

We love it deep down.

Feed this lovely pain

and make me bleed;

the blood’s what gets me going

and makes me feel alive.

Use your dirty thoughts

and let’s revel in this filth.

Side by side and

we might crack a smile.

Annabelle

We met in dreams,

a life that could have been.

I saw your growth and felt

your abandonment.

She wasn’t there.

She wasn’t there.

Ripped away, like a coming tide.

Let you go, such a foolish heart.

You were part of me.

You were part of me.

Left to another life

that will never be.

The Naked Truth

Expose yourself

to the naked truth...

Piercing eyes are your

secret pleasure.

The animals’ yearnings

give you the power you crave.

A gift to the strangers

that creep in the shadows.

Page 9: Bloodsucker (A Collection of Poetry by Micah Knapp)

Castle of your Dreams

Castle of your Dreams

won’t stop the lies from seeping out.

Neighbors do tell

the screams they’ve heard.

The pictures on the walls,

faces full of smiles.

Hold still

so the world can see the joy,

till your choked to death

lying on the floor.

All secrets out,

a story for the headlines.

Wild Thing

Fell in love with a Wild Thing,

despite the warnings.

Can’t keep her in a cage.

Can’t keep her in a cage.

She runs free.

She runs free.

She’s got nine lives.

You must not give

your heart to a Wild Thing!

You must not give

your heart to a Wild Thing!

The more you do

the stronger they become.

The Destroyer

Here she comes...

The roses drop dead at her sight.

She sets those around her on flames.

She torched the woods,

a devastation unnoticed.

A tortured soul

trapped in a black shell.

Set her free.

Set her free.

Her back is to me.

Her back is to me.

Let her look up and see

the light.

Strange Love

We come together,

we go away.

Do we remember

these lives we’ve lived?

These days they’ve passed.

Hold on to the memory,

we live to forget.

Lovers, now strangers,

walking down the aisle

to say goodbye.

BLOODSUCKER PART 2

Sweet Poison (Succubus)

Dangled there,

like a fly in a web.

She sought you out,

sweet poison to your lips.

Like the taste...

Keep coming back for more

until you’re drunk on it.

The ugly will soon appear,

once the beauty has been

torn from her face.

Off-Script

Where have I gone?

Lost in a role I forgot to play.

The next line escapes me

as I pause for effect.

You’ve gone off script

and the faces in the crowd

look confused.

All eyes on you...

The light searching

for that failed look

to cross your face.

Page 15: Bloodsucker (A Collection of Poetry by Micah Knapp)

Eggshells

Walking on eggshells.

One crack

and you’re thrown to the pit

with the Lions to maul;

until you’ve given in

to the mistakes

you never made.

A simple lie

would save your life

but strip you of your dignity.

Be true to yourself!

Be true to yourself!

Page 16: Bloodsucker (A Collection of Poetry by Micah Knapp)

Little Weights

Thoughts like little weights

piling up on top of me,

keep pulling me down

from these balloons

to the ground.

It's not reality,

but it might as well

just be. In my head

they play the same,

but to you,

it's all another game.

Page 17: Bloodsucker (A Collection of Poetry by Micah Knapp)

Sharks

You slit your wrists

and let them bleed, just to tease.

Blood in the water

and the Sharks swarmed.

You scream when they bite

and leave you for dead,

you careless little fish.

An addictive pain that you love

that makes you feel right at home.

Page 18: Bloodsucker (A Collection of Poetry by Micah Knapp)

The Soft Fur

You let the dogs out of their cage,

before you could fully

comprehend the consequences.

Thought those teeth wouldn't bite,

but recoil in a submissive state.

The soft fur isn't for petting,

just protection from the harsh reality.

You took the beast off it’s leash,

and it turned to it’s instincts.

Page 19: Bloodsucker (A Collection of Poetry by Micah Knapp)

Rag Doll

They come when called

and take charge of you,

used like a doll.

You love the hurt

and hate that spills.

Only to be thrown aside,

a narcissistic love.

A vessel for an evil heart.

Just to get you off.

Page 20: Bloodsucker (A Collection of Poetry by Micah Knapp)

Ouroboros

My intent was to create

and build it up,

only to bring it down again.

Stacked up

and toppled over.

Nothing can be that good...

Let’s make this worse

so we can make it better.

It’s this fight

that keeps us going…

Page 21: Bloodsucker (A Collection of Poetry by Micah Knapp)

Bloody Sitcom

Turn on the show,

put on display for all to see.

We’re just a sitcom

for your life.

Take a seat and watch.

Laugh tracks fill the awkward silences.

They have paid to see

this bloodbath played out

in real time.

A bloody sitcom.

Page 22: Bloodsucker (A Collection of Poetry by Micah Knapp)

The Devil’s Drink

When it festers,

we pick at the flesh

till it bleeds.

Uncover what lies beneath.

Let this pestilence fill the air.

Smoke’s rising,

till our lungs fill

and we choke.

We’ve embraced the dark

in a tight held grip.

We drink the Devil’s drink

and in a glance our

eyes are black.

We forget to live

and reach the life inside.

Page 23: Bloodsucker (A Collection of Poetry by Micah Knapp)

Ghosts

I saw this happen

again and again.

A million different lives...

This is how it ends.

This is how it starts.

The blood stained curtains,

before it’s ever been.

This is where we pass,

Ghosts drifting through

an empty room.

A sound at night...

it’s only you

when you’ve passed.
