Receiving Blanket Center:

Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the Fabric A squares.With right sides facing, layer a Fabric A square with a Fabric B square.Stitch ¼” from each side of the drawn line.Cut apart on the marked line.Half Square Triangle Unit should measure 9 5/8” x 9 5/8”.

Make sixteen.

Assemble four Half Square Triangle Units.Blanket Row should measure 9 5/8” x 37”.

Assemble the Receiving Blanket Center.Receiving Blanket Center should measure 37” x 37”.

To add curved edges, use the 3” section of the Creative Grids Non-Slip Multi-Size Curved Corner Cutter Ruler.Cut each corner using a rotary cutter.

Stitch around the Receiving Blanket using a ¼” seam. Leave an 8” opening at the bottom. Backstitch at the beginning and end. Turn the Receiving Blanket right side out.Press the opening edges under ¼” and press closed.

Finishing:With right sides facing, layer the Receiving Blanket Center with the Fabric C square. Square up the Fabric C square using the Receiving Blanket Center as a guide. Pin in place as you are trimming the Fabric C square to the same size as the Receiving Blanket Center.

Secure the front and back of the blanket together by stitching along the seams of the quilt. Use matching thread. Backstitch at the beginning and end.

Stitch around the Receiving Blanket ¹/₈” from the edge. Use matching thread. Backstitch at the beginning and end.
