• The Modified Early Warning Score (MEWS) was developed in the 1990s.
• The score predicts the likelihood of death in the next 48 hours.
• It is commonly used to activate Rapid Response and Resuscitation.
• RWJUH is interested in using MEWS data to assist in discharge planning.
