1 Elizabethtown and Susquehanna kick off the Landmark Conference portion of the schedule with today’s meeting. The Blue Jays knocked off the River Hawks in a high-scoring affair last season, 15-12, in Selinsgrove, Pa. E-town is 4-8 all-time against Susquehanna.
2 Katie Thompson has posted 18 points over her past 3 games since the Blue Jays last played at Wolf Field. She scored 5 goals against Widener in Florida and at Alvernia. Her 9 points against the Golden Wolves were a season-high. Thompson leads the Landmark in assists at 15 and is second in points (35).
3 Leading goal scorer Kathrina DeMaio had a team-high 7 in Susquehanna’s lone win of the season back on March 3 at Frostburg State. DeMaio recorded 7 goals on 9 shots and was 3-for-3 on free position attempts to lead the River Hawks to the 15-12 win.
Gabi Toohey (4), Brooke Burnett (2), Helena Woytovich (1), and Nikki Hauck (1) also scored for SU.
4 Madelyn Baker is on the verge of setting new career-highs in goals, assists, and points. The junior had 30 points (23g, 7a) in 16 games last season. Through 7 games in 2018, Baker has 22 goals and 6 assists for 28 points. She’s scored at least 2 goals in every game this year for the Blue Jays and had a season-high 5 back on Feb. 21 against Hood.
5 Elizabethtown will be on the road next time out, traveling to face Goucher on Friday, March 30, at 5:30 p.m. for a Landmark Conference matchup wtih the Gophers.
