Brief information:

Bedse caves are situated near Pawna dam, Kamshet. These are 1st Century BC

caves. The caves are among the best caves in Maharashtra. These caves are

similar to Karla and Bhaje caves. The architecture and science behind these

caves are a good learning. These caves are lesser known and less visited as

compared to Karla and Bhaje caves. This season is a good time to visit the caves

as one can be privy to the lush greenery during the day time. There is a big

Chaitya and several Viharas located around the caves. The entire place is a

masterpiece of architectural design. As always one has to wonder how people

must have built them. We will talk about the historical importance of the caves during

the visit. An expert will explain to us the ancient history, culture and archeology

of the caves. Let us understand and become aware of the historical heritage

that Maharashtra has to offer.

Pawna Dam is constructed across the Pawna River. This is a nice place to spend some time. The backwaters of this dam provide a wonderful view. It is beautiful to just sit beside it and do nothing, just enjoy as the time passes by.

Both the places offer an excellent opportunity to see birds, wild flowers,

butterflies and insects. Therefore, it is great chance for photography too.
