BME SERVICES COMPANY PROFILE

BME Services was established in 1999 to cater for building services in

construction industry

The company was established with a view of providing professional services for

the building industry in Sri Lanka, its founders being pioneers in the field and

expertise in designing and installation of Plumbing, Fire, LP Gas system, medical

and Industrial gas systems.

Whilst BME Services was established for servicing and installation of building

services system, it has been decided to cater to the ever-increasing demands of

designing of mechanical installations in the construction industry and also central

medical gas system designs and installations.

Our services in the construction industry covers mainly plumbing together with

installation of swimming pool filtration system and GRP tank, Sewerage and

Drainage pumping stations, Fire protection systems, LPG pipe line installation for

high rise luxury Apartments, Houses, Laboratories, Kitchens, Hotels and LPG

bulk storage terminals.

Today we are well experience on installation of plumbing system in big apartment

complexes including 32 stories high rise luxury apartments and mega apartment

complexes high rise commercial buildings using new innovation pipe line system

with CPVC, HDPE, PPR, DI pipe and Copper .

Further we undertake supply and installation of Kitchen & Hotel equipments on

turnkey basis B.M.E. Services comply with International standards such as BS,

ASTM, EN, ISO, NFPA and HTM 2022 for Quality & Safety Management to

ensure trouble free services in order to suit the requirement of customers.

Further today we are expand our services to neighboring countries such as

Maldives, Bangladesh

THE ORGANIZATION

The entire organization operations have been managed by a team of dynamic and

well experienced Engineering professionals. The highly skilled workforce consists

of a careful selection of technicians, certified welders and fitters, well qualified

and with a wealth of experience and training.

Managing Director: Hamantha Patabendige

Hamantha Patabendige is a B. Sc (Hons). Engineer who has 19 years experiences

in relevant building services industry including Multinational companies. And he

is responsible for the company budget, policies, contracts, business development

and technical support and coordination with clients and foreign suppliers.

Director / General Manager: Nimal Gunewardena

Nimal Gunewardens is a Mechanical Engineer/Architect having over 25 years in

the field and 08 years experience in General Manager Level at Colombo

Dockyard. He is responsible for all the operational activities and responsible for

all company administrative and technical functions of the institution.

Consultant Engineer: Mr J.J. Jayasinghe

Mr J.J. Jayasinghe is a charted mechanical Engineer who has 20 years experience

in designing of building services such as plumbing, air conditioning, Gas system,

fire systems for high rise building, Hospitals and many Government and privet

sector turn key projects. Further he is doing designing and consultancy work for

some Dubai projects. He is responsible for design supervision and quality

monitoring of building services install by BME services (PVT) Ltd.

AGM Technical: Mr Navindra Alponsu

He is B. Sc. Engineer having 12 year Experience in the field and in BME Services

for the past 10 years. He is responsible for all the technical matters including

preparation of shop drawing and as build drawing. He is coordinating with

consultancies, Project managers, and Client engineers and draftsmen division.

Manager Projects: Mr Ishan Anuradha

He is a B. Sc. Engineer having 08 year Experience in the Building Service field

and in BME Services for the past 06 years.

Senior Project Manager: K. T. Y. R. De. Silva

B. Sc. Engineer having 17 tears experience in the MEP works.

Project Managers and Engineers:

Ten numbers of B.Sc Graduate Engineers

Site Supervisors:

25 supervisors having Diploma in Engineering, and experience in MEP works in

Building Services.

Administration Manager: Lionel B. Fernando

NDT in Engineering with 25 years experience.

Financial Manager: S. Dassanayeke

Charted Accountancy S1 qualified and 5 years experience.

Stores and Material Manager: Thilina De Silva

Over 10 years experience in Stores Management.

Procumbent Executive: P. A. Wimalasiri

Over 30 years experience in Stores Management.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Warehouse is sufficient to support operations requirement for finished goods. It is

designed for plumbing material, industrial and electronic equipments.

Man power: Employ a total of 150 employees excluding the above executive staff

at present. Presently sufficient to support the current company requirements and

meet customer needs. Further we are going to increase our work force up to 250

within next year. In order to cater ever increasing demand of the industry and

achiving 800 million turnover by financial year endng 2015.
