SAMPLE PHOTOGRAPHS OF HOW TO DRAPE YOUR MANNEQUIN OR DOLL HEAD

The attached photographs are just examples on acceptable ways for you to drape the mannequin during the barber, cosmetologist or esthetician practical examination. These photos are to be used as a guide only. There may be other ways to drape the mannequin or doll head that are also acceptable while taking the examination. Please use the Candidate Information Bulletins (CIB) as a guide for each exam category. Please note: For skin care and facial services, the mannequin or doll head cannot be attached to a tripod. The head must be placed on the manicure table prior to performing the skin care or facial service. The sample photos will show you a flat head as well as a full head. The rest of the services for the barber and cosmetology exams will be completed on the doll head affixed to the tripod. Table clamps are no longer permitted and nothing can be attached or clamped to the work stations or tables. It is suggested that Barber candidates bring at least 2 doll heads for the practical part of the examination.
