One time increase of BLS scholarship to $2500 was discussed. Joan Bitely would like to have an introduction of candidates before one of our

    Membership Committee

    Report to the

    Board of Directors

    June, 2017

The Membership Committee has been busy spreading the word about ElderStudy to various organizations in the area and will have a presence at the Expo on Aging in June. We were happy to report a membership of 300 this year.

The Spring Luncheon was a success. We received many compliments on the venue and entertainment, not to mention the social time and the delicious food.

The Membership Committee will be revising the message on the ElderStudy phone to reflect only an opportunity to leave a message. The Curriculum Committee will no longer use this service to notify of schedule changes.

Members may now begin to register for the 2017-18 year. There has been no increase in dues. Returning members who register by September 9 may do so at the discounted rate. (See online form.)

The deadline for submissions for the August newsletter is July 20. Please have all input to Dottie Meyers by that time.

In conjunction with the Curriculum Committee, the Membership Committee will be sponsoring an abbreviated (1 hour) session to accompany the October General Membership meeting.

The membership will be celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2017-18. If you are interested in serving on a planning committee or contributing ideas please contact Donna Lewis at 571-259-6097.

    Respectfully Submitted

  • Appendix DTreasurers Report to the Board of Directors

    June 7, 2017

Two financial reports are presented to the Board for approval. The Operations Report #8 reflects program income and expenditures for the current Year to Date (YTD) (September 1, 2017 thru May 31, 2017) and compares the approved budget to the Year to Date budget. Funds are sufficient to meet planned expenditures.

The Quarterly Balance Sheet shows all Assets (funds) and Liabilities (expenses or to be determined expenses) for the organization as of the Third Quarter, September 1, 2017 through May 31, 2017. The ElderStudy membership is at 300 for this year.

The Administrative Committee will present the proposed fees, recommended Budget and recommended grants in their report.

    Respectfully submitted,

    Bryn Pavek, Treasurer
