Our first son was born before the NICU at CCMH was even created, so he was born here but then MediFlighted to OKC. I got to touch his hand before he left then I had to wait two days to hold him.

Our second son was born a month early, but thankfully the NICU at CCMH was open by this time. Because of this, I got to hold him about 12 hours after he was born instead of two days! Being at CCMH also meant my husband and I were able to stay close to home, so we could spend time with him in the NICU and also spend time at home with our three year old. I am so thankful for the NICU at CCMH, because having baby in the NICU is hard enough, I can’t imagine how it would have been to have one baby in OKC and one kiddo at home!

Meagan Garibay, RN Mother of NICU patient

“Being a former professional football player I’ve had surgeries all over the country. When I discovered I needed surgery to repair a hernia I debated going back to Dallas to have it done, thinking they would provide better care. I decided to practice what I preach about staying local and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. CCMH made me feel completely at ease and comfortable throughout every step of my care from registration, pre-op, surgery and then recovery. The staff, nurses and Dr. Morgan who performed the surgery all provided exceptional care during my stay. The hospital and my room were very clean and they provided me with every amenity to make my time as pleasant as possible even making sure my blankets were warm. I definitely would recommend CCMH services to my family and friends!”
