Teacher Conferences
Teachers will be using the early part of the year to schedule mid-year parent confer-ences with those families with which they have not yet had an opportunity to meet. As al-ways, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher anytime during the year to schedule a conference.
Dress Code
As the weather gets cooler, please make sure that all warmer clothing meets dress code require-ments. Also, please write your child’s name in all jackets and coats.
Leg coverings can be solid or multi-color.

National Mentoring Month – RISE to the Challenge
January is National Mentoring Month! Pearland ISD recognizes all
who serve as mentors, making a lifelong impact on our students.
Save these dates, which are part of the nationwide campaign:
Jan. 14: I Am a Mentor Day (If you mentor , encourage oth-
ers by sharing your story.)
Jan. 18: Martin Luther King J r . Day of Service (Not a men-
tor? Become one!)
Jan. 21: Thank Your Mentor Day (Send a thank-you note to
someone who has mentored you.)
Pearland ISD’s RISE Mentoring invites caring adults to commit to
meet one-on-one with a student 30 minutes a week on campus.
