The following are the committee’s recommendations for 2017. Lunch 12:00 Noon Guest speaker: Paul Labovitz, Superintendent, of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore (thank you Sue). Participants will be provided with a Prairie Club Bag to carry meeting materials as they spend the afternoon enjoying the zoo. At this time any meetings prior to ours is not scheduled so we will set up at 11:30 AM. We will have a podium and one long registration table. We have not received any entries to win free tickets from children- we hope to showcase one!! Spring Grove Lodge - Mickey Hanson & Judy Illingworth The committee met on April 9th. A walk through of the lodge was done at the time. The committee determined that the Spring Grove Lodge is due for its annual spring cleaning. After coordinating with the Spring Grove grounds committee, both have confirmed May 21st and 22nd to be the official Spring Clean Up weekend. Mickey Hanson will email invitations and a project list to all members for sign ups. Buena Vista – Paula Flanagan The renovation at Buena Vista is moving along very well. Things are looking great and the interior work should be complete next week. All 4 baths have been totally renovated with all new fixtures except the sinks. The floors have been replaced, walls painted, new light fixtures and accessories installed.

The kitchens have both been painted and new stone counters, sinks and faucets are in place. The kitchen and dining room tile floor on the Old Side (Casa Craig) has been upgraded with dark engineered hardwood planks. The Old Side living room floor and stairway treads are being refinished with dark stain similar to the existing. All 6 bedrooms and the Old Side dining room have had new ceiling light fixtures installed. I've attached a few pictures taken recently by Sue and will include some updated shots in the coming weeks as we put things back together and get the new dining room furniture in place on the old side. The exterior work on the dormer repair has been started and Mike will finish that in the next few weeks. A few additions to the original scope, a new door to the basement on the New Side (Sandine's Svensk Stuka) and a linen closet full of shelves for the newly added service for towels and sheet storage are also in place and look wonderful. A big thank you to Mike and crew for all of the great work, the Buena Vista improvements will be enjoyed for years to come by many members!
