NAMBOUR CHRISTIAN COLLEGENCC is a leading independent school on the Sunshine Coast offering excellence in education from Child Care to Year 12.

Through outstanding student achievements in academics, vocational education, sport, instrumental music and performing arts, NCC has gained an enviable reputation as an exceptional school for the past 37 years.

A NCC education opens minds, provides spiritual guidance and develops the unique gifts of each student in a Christ-centred learning community.

The curriculum at NCC is constantly reviewed to provide our 1,150 students with new learning opportunities. We support classroom learning with first-class facilities, pastoral care, outdoor education and co-curricular activities ranging from music to sports and performing arts.

NCC BOARDINGNCC has provided boarding to international and remote rural students for many years. This has been through our highly successful ‘Homestay’ program.

In 2018, we are delighted to also offer residential boarding to Senior School students (years 10 to 12). During 2018, it is planned for some of our boarders to be accommodated in a converted house on the NCC campus.

This will allow a group of students to board together, reducing the challenges associated with attending a remote boarding school and building on relationships developed in earlier years of schooling.

This boarding house will allow for a maximum of 2-3 students per bedroom, supervising staff and extensive indoor and outdoor living areas.

The NCC Boarding house parents, academic tutors and co-curricular staff will provide experienced and compassionate support for the students in a large family unit where each student will enjoy a real sense of belonging.

The College study, cultural and sporting facilities will be adjacent to the boarding house. These include a swimming pool, fully equipped gymnasium, indoor sports centre, playing fields, library and instrumental music centre.

Boarding students can be involved in a multitude of co-curricular activities including sporting programs, performing arts programs and the College farm.

PASTORAL CAREAt NCC the practical and impartial support of our entire student body requires the willing participation of every staff member as they prayerfully model and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on a daily basis.

The first level of Pastoral Care is the Family Group teachers who have daily contact with students – caring, praying and sharing devotions. The College Year Level networks are the next level of Pastoral Care providing a specialist coordinator overseeing the well-being of each age group of students.

In addition, Life Lessons and Applied Christian Studies classes, chapel services and outreach activities further shape Godly living, discipleship and community service.

For boarding students, the house parents, academic tutors and co-curricular staff provide a high level of individual Pastoral Care for each of the students.

For students who find they are struggling with life issues, our staff provide help, empathy, guidance and support.

In co-operation with parents and guardians, students are afforded every assistance with referral to specialised counselling support when needed.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact us at any time and should never allow themselves to feel disengaged from this crucial network of support.
