This example will show:1. The creation of Snapshot Templates related to the aspect

1.1 Configuration of SnapshotOperator Note Templates

To create a Snapshot Operator Note Template: Browse to the 800xA Library

structure Right click on the pre-

configured Snapshot Report Template folder and select New Aspect



Browse to the SnapshotReportTemplateObject

Give the new template an appropriate name

(Aspect updated during the last 8 hours in this case)



In the Config tab of the Template:

Mark the Aspect category check box



Select the browse button for the Aspect Category

Browse to an Operator Note aspect in the 800xA system (any will do)



Add 8 in the ”Aspect updated during last” function

Mark the Description and HOLDSDATA properties -> move to presentation field

To only show objects including Operator Notes with information set HOLDSDATA != 0



Create other Operator Note templates: Create (copy -> paste -> reconfigure) the 8 hour search template

to handle 16, 24, 40 hours etc. Create an Operator Note template which searches for all objects

with an Operator Note that holds information Create an Operator Note template which searches for all objects

including an Operator Note aspect


2.1 Create a Snapshot View aspectOperator Note searches

To create a Snapshot Operator View aspect:

Browse to the 800xA Library structure

Right click on the pre-configured Snapshot Report Template folder and select New Object



Browse to the Snapshot Report Folder

Give the new Snapshot folder an appropriate name

In this case – Operator Notes



To create a Snapshot View aspect for Operator Notes: In the 800xA Library structure,

right click on the Snapshot Report Folder for Operator Notes and select New Aspect



Browse to the SnapshotReportViewerCategory

Give the Snapshot Operator Note Viewer an appropriate name

OpNote Access to All – We will configure access to all templates in this example



In the config view: Select the templates related

to the aspect Operator Note OpNote Last 8 hours

executes first – placed at the top in the ”Selected” list

Chose where to search Mark – Execute search

when… Allow search template

selection – Show selected templates


3.1 800xA Operator UsageOperator Note searches

Activate Snapshot search via the 800xA process display (one click)

The search result is opened in a separate window

Three objects have Operator Note aspects that has been changed during the last 8 hours



Support for Object Context Menu

The 800xA Operator can access the Operator Note (or any aspect) by right click and select on an object row



The chosen aspect is opened in a separate window!



If needed, the View aspect gives the Operator possibility to search among the other Operator Note Templates
