A great impression of Holland, that starts with a drive to Rotterdam, famous for its modern architecture. During the city tour we will drive along the banks of the River Maas, to the old port and the remarkable yellow cube houses. We will enjoy an amazing view of the city and port from the top of the 185-metre Euromast tower. Then on to Delft for lunch (not included) and a visit to the Delft Blue Pottery factory/experience. After that, we will show you The Hague, with our Parliament and the Peace Palace. Our last stop will be at the miniature town of Madurodam. All entrance fees are included.

This excursion starts with a drive to and a photo stop at the famous Enclosing Dike (Afsluitdijk), a prime example of Dutch engineering from the 1930s. We will then move on to the picturesque town of Medemblik, where we will visit a working windmill and take a guided tour of the town on foot. One of the highlights of this excursion will be our trip to the beautiful “Zuiderzee” town of Hoorn in an original steam train. After a short walking tour of Hoorn you will get the chance to explore the town yourself, before we head back to Amsterdam. All entrance fees are included.

This afternoon excursion starts with a visit to the historic town of Delft, famous around the world for its ceramics industry. We will of course visit one of the few remaining ceramic factories before we drive into the beautiful historic city centre of Delft. There you will have free time to walk around the town centre. After that we will continue to The Hague, the political centre of the Netherlands. We will take a guided walk around the Binnenhof area, where you will see the beautiful houses of parliament and the working palace of the Dutch king. On our way back to Amsterdam we will show you many other highlights, including the Peace Palace, home to the International Court of Justice, where we will make a picture stop.

This tour takes you to the 700-year-old town of Alkmaar, scene of the picturesque cheese market, where you can get a real sense of ancient market life. Once a buyer has finished, men in white costumes carry the wheels of cheese to a 14th-century Weigh House to tally the bill. Admire the competing teams of the Cheese Carriers’ Guild, and watch as the cheeses are piled high on the cobblestone square at Alkmaar Market. After a guided walk and lunch (not included) we will go to Schermerhorn, famous for its three old windmills, one of which we will visit.

Welcome to Brussels, probably the most European city in the world. After a comfortable and informative drive to Brussels we will first of all make a picture stop at the Atomium (site of the 1958 World Expo). We will then continue our journey with an extensive sightseeing tour and show you the EU Headquarters, the Sacred Heart Basilica, the Working Palace of the King of Belgium, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Palace of Justice and many other sights of interest. Next is a guided walk of the beautiful old city with the Grand Place and, of course, ‘Manneken Pis’! Afterwards, you will have plenty of free time to stroll around and get a bite to eat before returning to Amsterdam.
