Designed by John Stanley Beard, the old cinema’s classical colonnades create a grand entrance to Filmworks. Remarkably, the cinema
building was relatively new compared to Ealing Studios, built in 1902. The first of its kind, with classics like The Ladykillers and recent
successes The Theory of Everything and Downton Abbey, it is synonymous with the British film industry.
