This term, our school will continue to ensure that all students receive engaging, targeted and personalised access to the curriculum and learning opportunities. Students will have opportunities to participate in a variety of events and activities such as Zone Athletics, NAIDOC activities, Sporting Schools and so much more. Parents and community play an important role in the education process and we encourage your involvement and input in supporting our school and your child’s educational experiences. This year students have the chance to take out the Boggabri PS Principal Citizens Award, to one lower and upper primary student. This honour will be awarded to the students that represent our school with pride, display caring, respectful behaviours to self, others and to their education – always having a go. Boggabri Public School takes pride in its school uniform. This promotes a sense of belonging for our students and creates a positive identity for the school community. Formal uniform is to be worn 3 days per week and causal/sports – Wednesday/Friday two days. Formal: Girls, winter- the winter dress with white shirt and tie or unisex uniform white shirt, navy pants/navy school jumper/ navy cardigan + tie and black shoes. Boys, winter: Long navy pants / blue long sleeve school shirt, tie and school jumper with black shoes. Casual uniform for all - School polo shirt with navy shorts/skorts/skirts or track pants, black leather shoes or black sneakers. Sports day any colour sneakers. I am looking forward to this semester of growth and achievement. My door is always open; drop in if you need to.

Assembly Congratulations to all students who received awards at our final Term 2 assembly on Thursday 27th June. Small School’s Athletics Carnival Well done to all the students that participated in the Small School Athletics Carnival in Gunnedah, last day of term 2. What a great day, you all displayed great sportsmanship and effort, I was so proud to see you all have a go, well done! Congratulations to Monique Rowland, Chloe McInerney, Haylee Turner and Liam Debreceny for achieving Age Champions and Evan Smith for Best Sportsmanship Award.

Gunnedah High School Yr 6 Transition The Back to School Evening at the Gunnedah High School on Wednesday 31st July has been cancelled. The next transition day for the students is Wednesday 7th August from 8.30am – 3.30pm. The students can catch Haire’s Bus to and from the High School.

Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) PRC closes on 30th August. The challenge aims to encourage a love of reading and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. It is not a competition but a challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read more widely. If your child/ren would like to participate in this challenge please see Mrs McInerney for a reading log. Reading logs can then be given to Mrs McInerney every Thursday to record their readings. Sporting School’s Sporting School’s will run once again during school time on a Wednesday for all students. PSSA Touch Knockout Competition PSSA Touch Boys team will compete in the Knockout competition on Friday 2nd August against Werris Creek at Jubilee Oval at 11.00am.

PSSA Touch Girls team to play Barraba on Monday 5th August at Jubilee Oval at 11.00am. A team will be selected from training participants. SRC In spirit of embracing all cultures, the SRC contacted Mark Coulton who kindly donated the Torres Strait Islander flag to our school. The SRC raised money at the Colour Run to purchase rope and Craig Devine kindly helped to assemble the rope and flag, which we fly very proudly. Thank you SRC and Craig!

Voluntary School Contributions Thank you to those families who have paid their child’s fees, it is greatly appreciated. The voluntary school contribution is as follows $40 for the first child and $10 for every child after that. Throughout the school year, the school has activities, enrichment programs, cultural experiences, purchase resources and new equipment that are provided at no cost to the students. It would be greatly appreciated if families could contribute so the school can keep providing our students with the best possible schooling. School Stream School stream is a mobile app that sends information, such as newsletters, permission notes and important updates directly to your phone. The app also allows you to send through absent notes and permission notes. You will require a password

to complete the installation process. This password is 1276.

Everyone most welcome to attend. • Canteen News The canteen will be closed on a Tuesday in Term 3. If you are able to volunteer your time in the canteen please see Steph Hancock, the canteen is always looking for more helpers.
