2. Dissemination Deliverable 2.2.1 - Bologna-IN logo In order to give the Project a visual identity, the Bologna-IN logo was created in the month of September 2016. The core idea behind the design was to make the Project recognizable to general public. The Bologna-IN logo uses the simple concept of logos. The Project name is used as it is in the logo with a horizontal line underneath. The colour used for the text is similar to the European Union’s flag and the line colour is similar to the official colour of the Erasmus program. Please visit https://bolognaproject.in/downloads/

The Bologna-IN logo along with the EU flag and the “co-funded” message was then, disseminated on several platforms in the last seven months.

Event 2.4.1 - International workshop on “Bologna Process - the European Higher Education Area: ECTS, Mobility, Employability and Internationalization of Indian Higher Education System”

Link - https://bolognaproject.in/first-workshop/

The two-day international workshop on “Bologna Process - the European Higher Education Area: ECTS, Mobility, Employability and Internationalization of Indian Higher Education System” was indeed a remarkable start to the forthcoming discussions on internationalization prospects of the Indian and European higher education systems. While the discussions on the first day focused on EU India academic cooperation, efforts to enhance this cooperation and the Bologna experiment; the second day of the workshop comprised panel discussions on initiatives by EURAXESS India, the vital relation between internationalization of higher education and employability and internationalization of higher education and innovation.

The workshop witnessed presence of eminent personalities such as: Mr Thibault Devanlay, EU Delegation to India; Ms Ainhitze Bizakarrlegorra Bravo, Country Representative EURAXESS India; Dr H Vinod Bhat, Vice Chancellor, Manipal University, Manipal. Special guests from the University of Milan Prof Paola Catenaccio and Ms Monica Sinibaldi, imparted their expertise on Bologna Process, Credits, Grades Recognition and Mobility.

7

The two-day international workshop relentlessly stressed on the scope for mutual learning from both the higher education systems. The panel discussion emphasized on the pressing need to establish a link between employability of university graduates and aligning the academic curriculum to the professional/ industry requirements. Interestingly, the panelists also discussed how it is essential to imbibe innovative strategies in teaching and learning methods, and research and development.

Internationalization of higher education is an inevitable reality today. Evidently, the process of internationalizing university campuses goes beyond the idea of student mobility but rather, includes an array of aspects such as: research cooperation, credit transfer and recognition, new emerging forms of internationalization and maintaining heterogeneity yet homogeneity of national education systems by moving towards a common global education space.

A diverse group of 60 people attended the workshop for two days.
