The BHS Cross Country teams wrapped up their reg- ular season schedule on Thursday at the 7th annual Blue Ridge Tiger Trail Invi- tational. The varsity boys squad had a season best performance, earning 1st place in the overall team standings. After a handful of 2nd place finishes this sea- son, Tony Cruz won the boys division with a time of 17:18, followed by Jacob Campbell (3rd), Tanner Reaves (6th), Nik Spiller (22nd), and Tristen Single- ton (33rd). Said Longoria finished 2nd overall in the JV boys divi- sion, followed by Randy Arris (11th) and Matthew Vankirk (16th). Samantha Hodge once again led the varsity girls team, finishing 13th overall in a field of 55 runners. The JV girls had a strong show- ing as well, as Perla Flores (6th) and Reese Davis (8th) each brought home medals for the Lady Warriors. BHS CROSS COUNTRY BOYS WIN! Varsity Volleyball Tuesday night Princeton came to Bonham and deliv- ered a heartbreaking 5 set loss to the Lady Warriors. The Lady Warriors had the hot start winning the first two sets 25-23 and 30-28. The Lady Panthers stormed back with 26-24, 25-15, 15-5 set victories to take home the win. Bri Williams led all scorers with 29 kills. JV Pur- ple and White both picked up wins. Friday night the Lady Warri- ors travelled to Melissa. Var- sity took the Cardinals to four sets but couldn’t quite put them away. Melissa jumped off to a hot start beating the Lady Warriors 25-11. Bonham answered in the second set with a 25-18 win. The Cardinals went on to win the next two sets 25- 15 and 25-17 for the win. Bri Williams led with 13 Kills with Reagan Shackleford close behind with 8. JV Pur- ple picked up a win while JV White dropped a heart- breaking 3 set game. The Lady Warriors have finished up the first round of district in a 3 way tie for a playoff spot. The second round starts Tuesday Anna will come to Bonham with JV White starting at 5:00. Friday night the Lady Warriors with travel to Aubrey with varsity starting at 4:30. The Lady Indians traveled to Anna this last week. The 7th grade A team beat the Coy-otes in 2 games. They all did a great job--Karis did a great job at the net. Breauna Killgo also had a great game. 8th grade B team also had a great game and stole the game from the Coyotes in 3. Shayla Bateman led the team

in service points. 7B and 8A lost in 2 games. Leading the 8th grade was Danielle Brown and Maddy Cloudt.

However, the Warriors aren't

all about work and no play

as they headed to the Mid-

way to have a little fun this

past Friday night. We're

looking forward to a great

week versus Melissa!

The Purple Warriors take a

mid-season break this week

as they head into District

play. With the open week

the Warriors have focused

on grades by going to tutor-

ing this week. The varsity

football team has made it

three years straight without

losing a single player to the

6-week grade mark. They
