Book review: Narnia, the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Narnia, the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is an Novel written by English
Oxford University professor C.S Lewis and part of the Chronicles of Narnia
series, which inclde seven boo!s. "he Novel is a best seller and has been
tradced into #$ langages. On the other hand "he Lion, "he Witch and "he
Wardrobe has been %ade into a fil% by &isney.
'esides being an en(oyable boo! and an entertaining %ovie this story also
teaches i%portant lessons of love and self)sacrifice. "he boo! has %anyawards and is recogni*ed worldwide. "he novel has been inclded on "+E-s
nran!ed #/ list of the 0 best English)langage novels pblished since
0$#1 and a #0# srvey by the University of Worcesterdeter%ined that it was
the second %ost co%%on boo! that U2 adlts had read as children.
+t tells the tale of for siblings 3eter, Ssan, Ed%nd and Lcy4 who leave for
the English contryside dring air raids in London dring World War ++. "hey
stay at the large hose of a distingished professor and find a %agical
wardrobe dring a ga%e of hide and see! that leads the% to another world, the
world of Narnia.
"he first part of the story deals with the %ove of the 3evensie, who are the
siblings, who de to the bo%bings in London dring World War ++ have to %ove
to the contryside with a professor, here accidently Lcy, the yongest, finds
and hides in a wardrobe in a ga%e of hide and see! and goes into a %agical
parallel world, Narnia. Narnia is a land blan!eted with snow and ice, inhabitedby %ystical and %agical creatres Narnia has fallen nder the spell of the White
Witch, the self)proclai%ed 5een of the land. Lcy who tells her brothers bt
they do not believe her, goes bac! on a night she can6t sleep, this ti%e followed
by her brother Ed%nd. Ed%nd is fond by the white witch who treats hi%
!indly and %a!es hi% pro%ise to retrn with his brother and two sisters with the
pro%ise of %a!ing hi% !ing and all the "r!ish delight he can eat, a desert he
li!ed.
Several days later all for children find the%selves forced into the wardrobe and
into Narnia. "hey start the %ission to find 7slan, who has co%e bac! to Narniato help the% on their 5est to defeat the White Witch. 7slan is a giant,
tal!ing Lionwho originally created Narnia and %any ti%es is co%pared to 8od.
9inally they defeat the White Witch, and restore peace in Narnia.

an otstanding ability to write (st enogh to give the reader a description of the
setting, scene and characters and leave the rest to yor i%agination, and
behind everything it leaves a %essage that throghot the lectre yo will
nderstand and it will (st sin! in. + highly reco%%end this first boo! of the
Narnia Series to people of all ages to the little sister p to the 8rand dad that
